I really hate when there’s big sub plots in a movie that the trailer is hiding cause the studio knows we’re not gonna like it. Thai happened with jurassic world dominion and a few other films as well.

Trap & Smile 2 means concert horror movies are the trend this year! Josh Hartnett making a comeback!

The twist is.. the movie it's actually a commercial for his singer daughter 😅

The "Twist" was basically that his wife figured him out secretly and was the reason FBI got his scent on the trail. Wasn't that big of a twist though. I was thinking at some point that Lady Raven had a loved one that was a victim of the Butcher and that was why she was helping. But just naw, she's helping cuz she's helping.

I hate how M.Night "TRAP"ed us to watch her daughter concert/music then becoming the lead in act 3. Josh Hartnett the goat tho

I loved this movie! And I actually thought M. Night’s daughter is a good actress and an even better singer. I thought all the actor’s were excellent, especially Josh Hartnett. I hope there will be a prequel and sequel.

My prediction for this movie’s twist was that the cops wasn’t going after Josh but instead another serial killer in the audience leaving Josh free and to continue his life as both a father and a serial killer

M Night has consistently good concepts. His movies struggle in the execution.

I'd be very interested in seeing a movie where he wrote the first draft, then handed it off for rewrites and maybe had a different person direct

Pretty fun movie for me

avoided ALL trailers and reviews after I watched the very first trailer once. I loved this movie. I think people that watched the trailer or reviews telling you what the movie is first, will have a lesser experience. I’m disappointed that this movie may not get the recognition it deserves. I was lucky enough not to know that he was the killer going in. As soon as they showed him as the killer in the movie it had me hooked as to what in the heck was going on. I thought the way that the pop star took on the butcher was realistic as to how a smart pop star would use they’re resources. Also I feel like people are being crazy harsh on her acting. I had a lot of fun in this movie, and am sad that people just aren’t gonna have the same experience. I honestly think that people that aren’t hardcore movie fanatics and pay attention to movies coming out than people that are. I’m a movie fanatic, BUT I went in with nothing and that really added to my experience.

I expected more and was severely let down. 1.5/5 at best. There were too many plot holes. What was the purpose of the mom of the other girl? How was the kitchen scene even possible? Where was Raven's security detail? The limo scene was laughable, like how? The ending was frustrating. The way that law enforcement handled things was infuriating 😬
Josh Hartnett gave a solid performance, he was believable as the butcher. I wish that we got more of his backstory.
Basically it's a concert film for Shyamalan's daughter with a mediocre sub-plot 🤷🏽‍♀️

At least we know John followed in his Uncle Mike's footsteps from Halloween H20

The twist is the butcher is the boy that starred in the cough syrup commercial in The Sixth Sense, whose cheese slid off his cracker after surviving the alien invasion in Signs, which caused him to move close to a small house by the ocean, about the size of the unabomber’s cabin, in Old, before his land was bought out by the resort, drastically below market value, driving him even more crazy as a result, which caused him to develop D.I.D as a result, so he went to the same phyciatrist that Kevin saw in Split, where one of his personalities was a father/serial killer called the butcher, who then took his daughter (possibly imaginary) to a concert in the film Trap; and right before the credits roll, there is a close up of the butcher looking directly into the camera, who proceeds to take off his skin-mask, sort of like Brody in the Village, when it is revealed that throughout all the films, Shamalyan himself was actually both villain and the hero all along.

Signs to me was the best written, acted, directed. Unbreakable is second, Split sometimes is. Good to hear the story is there.

7:10 - I FRICKIN KNEW IT!! The instant you mrntioned that his daughter was that singer in this, I just knew that was going to affect this movie a lot. I can't recall when the last time a filmmaker had done this with their kids but i dont care if i was a Dad that is Shamalyan's line of work, i wouldn't have his kid hijack the film to make it about THEM and put the actual leads in the backseat!😤

I really enjoyed the movie. I am good that there was not a big twist. I think everyone thinks that there was another big twist, but it was nothing big. Some of the reveals were good. As you mentioned, Harnett was amazing. I would definitely watch a prequel with Harnett killing his victims.
