TRAP Movie Review - M. Night Shyamalan returns with Trap. Another half-baked film concept that makes zero sense the more it puts along. This time, his film acts as more of a jumping off point for his daughter's career. She takes center stage (literally) in this big concert film location. Josh Hartnett tries his best to make his killer interesting but the film is just so dull, it comes off as corny. Here is my spoiler-free review of 2024's TRAP!

Totally right man, thank for having the integrity to say it. THIS IS A TOTAL NEPO PROJECT! The killer, the story all took a back seat and the rest put in the trunk so he could give his daughter a very expensive multimillion dollar Pony just like he did with his other daughter in The Watchers (with zero experience just given millions to Direct some nonsense they wrote up in a weekend 😂😂).
I can't believe so many reviewers are saying "oh just turn your brain off" IN A THRILLER-HORROR movie that's supposed to make you think. I'm actually surprised the "pop star" (M.Nights daughter) didn't turn up to be some 007 CIA secret agent (God knows they tried) her whole forced role and songs throughout the whole movie just drains the movie a lot as we already have to do a lot of suspension of disbelief with the killer and the we also have to do the same with NEPO BABY who can't really act, making this supposed really scary and seasoned killer look like a total idiot!!😂😂😂

I couldn’t agree with you character choices are fkn ABSURD…lady raven finds out he’s the killer with a hostage and her idea is to go to his home ALONE to try and Batman the hostage out of there? I mean are u being serious with this script? It’s absolutely LUDICROUS.. how about let him get out of the limo with his daughter and then call the cops and let them handle it???? Also apparently if you go LIVE and give a vague description of a house, a random person will then show up and rescue a hostage 30 seconds later from said house 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

The most far fetched part of the movie was how much of a convo, short for conversation, he had with the Merch guy. No one at a concert of that popular demand has enough time to stop and chit chat let alone know everything about what the cops are doing 😭

The film was interesting in the arena but as soon as Lady Raven became part of the plot and it left the arena, the film turned into a big pile of 💩

The movie Glass really bothered me. I expected it to be much better than it ended up being. It was a very disappointing and very unsatisfying conclusion to the Unbreakable and Split series of movies/trilogy.

The twist was that the FBI Profiler was played by Hayley Mills who starred in the 1961 film "The Parent Trap" 63 years later she's back, trying to "Trap" another parent. 🙄🤣

The second I realized that this movie was solely a promotional video for his daughter, I checked out.

When I saw the trailer I was thinking and hoping that the entire movie would be set at the concert venue minus a lot of Lady Raven's music. Looks like this doesn't happen.

This movie was so bad it drove me and my husband to file for divorce and I’m suing. I’ll explain why below.

First off, our marriage was hanging on by a thread and we were counting on M night Shamalangadingdong to save it. We both recently lost our jobs due to terminal gingivitis and therefore, have no money. We had to empty out our children’s college fund just to get by. Subsequently we needed to finance the movie tickets, popcorn, 2 large drinks and 2 candy bars.

We sat down with the excitement and glee of a small child on Christmas morning. As soon as the previews started we even began to cry tears of joy knowing all Our problems would soon be washed away. Little did we know- that was not the case.


The nightmare began within the first 5 minutes of the movie . It was so bad that it spiked my husbands blood pressure like the drinks of Bill Cosby’s dates. When he is severely stressed- his defense mechanism kicks in and he starts uncontrollably expelling gas. People around us called 911 due to the heinous smells. The poor soul who sat next to us even went into cardiac arrest . We were then both kicked out without a proper explanation or refund. Our relationship is irreparable now, all because the movie was that appalling. Terrible dialogue. Plot holes everywhere . We lost our social standing and became the laughing stocks of the town.


. Shortly after this movie, my husband lost all his hair and could no longer maintain an erection.

I loved the hell out of "The Happening".
My sister and I went to see it with the intention of laughing AT it, and it didn't disappoint.
That movie was hilarious.
Every time people fled in terror from the wind, we were rolling.
By the end of the showing, the whole theater was laughing.
