I've seen people yelling about UV light doesn't attract mosquitoes. But I swear by mine it does works wonder. I put mine on top of my shoe rack in my garage, left it overnight and it attracts tons of them. Of course if you put it on living room next to you, your body are more attractive than this trap (or any trap) would ever be. I guess it depends on the mosquito species?

No need to purchase the glue pads. Just put a thick film of cheap olive oil at the bottom and clean it once a week.

Don't bother with this product as they refuse to give the warranty details. They don't say on their website and will not respond to questions on Amazon about their warranty.
Since this company is so evasive on any warranty information I would not trust them at this time or until they actually post what this warranty is what I believe is only 30 to 90 days at most.
Stick with a trusted company that actually stands behind their product with a visible warranty!
