Build a strong core at home with this no equipment beginner ab workout.

These are five of my favorite beginner-friendly ab exercises to strengthen the upper abs, lower abs, obliques, deep transverse abdominal muscles and pelvic floor.

Add these five ab exercises onto any strength training workout, or knock this out as a quick and effective 5-minute workout.

► INSTRUCTIONS:
Follow along with the video above. This beginner ab workout is structured like this:
✔️ 5 Beginner Ab Exercises
✔️ Timed Intervals (40 seconds of work per exercise followed by 20 seconds of rest)
✔️ Perform Each Ab Exercise x1 (no repeats)

GREAT BURNER!! I added this one onto a 30 min jump rope cardio workout!! Perfect addition 🙌🏽🤩. Btw, I would love to see a jump rope workout from you guys!! It’s such a good different type of cardio and I do it at least one a week! ( if you don’t have a jump rope, you can use sweat towels, cordless ropes, or even socks, or nothing!). I think it would be a great sweaty workout!

Hello! Amazing workout! However, I find that during the first 2 exercises, if I don't raise my head off the mat, I feel a discomfort/light pain in my upper back, right between the scapulae. What does this mean and how can I make it go away? Is it linked to the insufficient bracing of the core? Thank you!

For the modified side planks - once I lift my hip off of the floor - I can't unstick my top leg from the bottom. Is there something that I should be doing differently - or will this come in time? Also, I felt everything in my hips - is that normal? Thanks for the amazing workouts that you offer!
