Hey everyone. In case your wondering, I did repeat that answer word for word. Minus the number. Current boss said, did you watch this video. I said yes. He said, good job for prepping yourself. 😅.

Hello CareerVidz team and community. CareerVidz and community has helped me me get a job in the past. I appreciate you taking some time to read this.

My question: If an interviewer asks you, “What do you value more base pay or restricted stock units, ” what are some pros and cons of valuing either one more?”

I am a licensed financial trader and worked in equity compensation. I recently had a first interview call and the recruiter asked what I value more, “base pay or or restricted stock units”. I answered base pay because of short-term financial goals concisely.

One of my weaknesses is hyper-vigilance. I am worried that they do not think I believe in the company because I did not choose the stock. It was my first time ever having an initial interview were they discussed compensation. I answered it formatted and concise but internally it did throw me off.

Thank you kindly!

These videos are great for providing tips but I feel most (that I've watched) are focused on jobs that sell products/use investments. What kind of tips can you offer to someone who's looking for office work, that focuses on things such as admin or as I just applied and had an interview for: roster clerk - pretty much providing work to people and telling them where they'll be working. I know for a fact I failed that interview because I wasn't prepared, it was also my first ever interview.

My first job I got because my brother worked there and my 2nd job was because my college course lead me straight in to it. My 3rd job, which I have now is agency based in a warehouse.

Hello Richard, I landed a new position late last year with the help of your videos. I felt much more confident giving my answers. So thank you for all you do!

I have a question about salary, how do you go about asking for a higher salary than they are presenting on their sites? I would be asking for $20, 000 more. Is this number even negotiable?

The best answer for this question: "a minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in administration, finance, accounting, human resources management, procurement, information technology or related field is required. Please explain how you meet this criterion using examples.

Can you make a video on how to handle the situation when the employer tells you what the position pays with a low ball offer? And never even asks, “what your salary expectation?”

Please I'll like to ask, what if I don't have experience in the position I'm applying for, but it's something I'll like to do and it's related to my field. What do I do Sir?

Hi Richard I have one question and how to answer to that in the interview.
Q) How to deal with annoying coworkers?

What should you do if you are being hired for a general position in a company in which they give you a role depending on the skills that you have presented to them?

Or what if the position you are applying for does not have an available estimate for salary?

In my case I am applying for a general position with a skillset I believe falls into a specific set of roles. However in my research I have found conflicting information about salary expectations for the same job titles with one having a range of $110 000 CAD and $45 000 CAD which I suspect is dependent on the seniority of the position and another having no range but saying the salary is exactly $93 000 CAD from one report.
