Chuck roast is my favorite! At $4.99/pound, I buy a huge one at Costco for about $40. I cook it in the Instant Pot, then chill it over night. After cold, I slice it up into chunks. I will eat it for the next two weeks with eggs. I can get 10+ meals out of it, so only $4/meal!

Picking up a half a cow from local cattle ranch tomorrow. With processing and credit card fees it comes to $6.20 a pound. No added hormones or antibiotics

Hi my name is MaryAnne and I’m a retired meat wrapper from Schnucks Markets for 25 years. I wanted to thank you for making an informative video about meat. I enjoyed it.

When chuck roast goes on sale at your butcher or grocery store, ask to buy the entire chuck roll. Out of a 20lb chuck roll, you can get about 6 chuck eyes, 3-4 Denver steaks, 5 -7 lbs ground chuck and 2-4 roasts depending on how thick you cut em. Save the labor cut it yourself. Lots of videos on how to process a chuck roll

I hunt. I get 3-4 deer a year and it only cost about $1.00 in ammo each. That's about #250lbs of deer meat for $3-$4. It's also organic!

Let me share with you that when I was a kid chicken wings, necks, hearts, livers and the gizzards were given away for free by the butcher; they were considered dog food. A Hershey bar was 5 cents and gasoline was 25 cents a gallon, my how times have changed.

My answer to cost. I am eating fatty carnivore for less than 10$ a day . Fatty ground beef nobody but the poor want. I put bacon on top, press it down into the burger and pop it in the air frier for 10 minutes for medium rare. 3 pounds for 12$ and I am in Canada.

5-9$ per lb is the same price for strip steaks & ribeyes! At a grocery store, the best budget cut is whatever is on sale that week. It will rotate back in a month so you’ll get to eat all cuts. And if they sell in whole, cutting it up yourself will save even more.

I've heard a lot lately about this carnivore diet thing so I thought I would give it a try. I thought it would be expensive but it really has been less then I thought. I spend about half the $$$ I would have spent including veggies. I eat till I am full then stop. I eat once or twice a day with no snacking. I drink water and coffee - black. I am 57 5'8" and started at 230lbs. Now two weeks in I am down to about 210lbs. I was not even trying to loss weight. It was more about just getting to a point of feeling better. Now I figure I will set a goal of 180lbs.

I think the biggest change was cutting out carbs altogether. I have not observed any issues and do not really miss the carbs other than the fact that I still like them. I do not feel I have to have them though. I also do not do dairy, process sugar or any wheat products. I do not eat any processes of packaged man made "food products".

My latest infatuation is ground beef patties, fried and chilled. I pull one out, spread some butter on it and eat it cold. Quick and tasty.

Where I live, brisket can be purchased for $3.99/lb at Sam's and Costco.
I cut it into chunks of about 2 pounds each. I learned this method from Pioneer Woman, so look for it in her site. I salt it well and bake it at 250* in a covered heavy pot, fat side up for about 4 hours, until tender. Remove the lid and bake at 350* until the fat is golden. You can slice it and eat it right away OR chill it and slice it as thin as you like, salt and fry it in a pan or air fryer.... Beef bacon baby!! Delicious hot or cold for on the go.
PS Strain and reserve the liquid fat, gorgeous tallow.

Beef has gotten so much more expensive. I was just telling my wife today that I'm seriously disappointed I didn't go carnivore a few years ago. Those of us paying attention over the years know that this is intentional and is only going to get worse as due to the war on red meat.

When you make the total it's actually cheaper. ..
Medication, Supplements, fruits, vegies, processed food etc.

I love short ribs. My wife, who is from mainland China, steams them based on a Chinese recipe. Her only seasoning is salt and pepper. I prefer her steamed method over other cooking methods. That said I would be more than happy to eat short ribs no matter how they are cooked.

Tri-Tip! I get it on sale at Safeway in Hawaii every month for $5 lb. Cooked whole on the grill ( indirect heat) for sixty minutes for rare or slice across the grain for steaks that grill quickly. Ask them for " untrimmed " if the ones they've put out look too lean.
Costco sells a forty lb. Box of chicken thighs for $30.99! They are small and fairy mangled, but that's really cheap. Salt the skin and cook on the grill over low heat skin side down for fifteen minutes, flip and cook for another fifteen minutes until the skin is crispy.

I PAY 23.99 for 40 pounds of chicken leg quarters, 89.99 for 30 pounds of 80/20 premium ground beef, boneless pork loin 1.89 a pound, whole newyork strips for 5.59 a pound, bacon 30 pounds for 89.99. I also picked up a shank ham for 69 cents a pound. I don't usually eat ham but the rest is what I normally get along with beef fat trimmings for 29 cents a pound. Also eat a lot of eggs at 3 dozen for 5 dollars, right now, when my brother doesn't have extra he gives me. Only been carnivore for a short time but feel better and my HA1c is down to 5.7 and glucose was 97 on last blood tests. Not taking diabetes meds now.😄
