I grew up eating food like this. I'm 60 years old now. It's important that someone shares this content. The struggle is real.

I managed to eat out of the dollar tree for 10 bucks a week. Rice. Casserole. Tuna. Oatmeal. Eggs. Spaghetti sauce and pasta. Ect. Ect.

The first thing I learned to cook, when I came to the USA 62 years ago, was Tuna Noodle casserole and I felt like a chef. This is as good as it can get. ❤️ Thanks for a slice of Americana.

This is how food stamps are intended to be used; economical, hearty food to feed families with limited resources. I wish content like this was more accessible to those who genuinely need it.

Don't need to live on a budget but stuff like this makes lunch for my work week nice and keeps me away from the overpriced vending food.

Aren't we all pretty much in the situation of cooking on a budget now? Food prices continue to rise and eating out isn't as much fun when you get your bill! Thank you for your recipes! 🙂

i enjoy watching these so much. while im grateful to be able to provide infinitely for my children and loved ones. growing up it was the opposite for me. MY parents both were drug addicts who left me very young to fend for myslef. i would do what i had to do as a little kid and many of the meal ideas you make were things id concoct back then when it was a struggle just to keep my belly full. It is a huge reminder for me to be mindful of how far i came and i actually enjoy eating like this vs spending 200 bucks on a steak dinner.

I don't think you get enough praise for what you do here. Thousands of Americans face the reality of poverty, and education on how to feed yourself and your family on a budget is sparse to say the least. It takes skill to turn a bunch of ingredients from dollar tree into actual hearty meals. We're probably going to have another recession with the way inflation is going, so these videos are definitely going to be a lifesaver for me and my family. Thank you.

Hey Larry! This looks great! Your videos have been an inspiration to me recently! I lost most of my business due to Covid, so Ive been eating on the cheap! Just the other day I was like what would Larry do? SO I took some ground beef, added some spices, some cream of mushroom, dumped in some mixed veggies, and served over rice! It was awesome! Keep the recipes coming!!!

I'm going to try to bake this in the oven. It just reminds me so much of a meal my mom would make and she would always bake the boxed au gratin potatoes.
