Imagine making a weapon, only for it to be so deadly, that it's regarded as being too deadly for use in battle.

"Schu-mine" sounds like a term that would describe a sticky mine that sticks to people's shoes.

WWI was extremely brutal too! Chemical weapons were used without restraint and the the trench warfare was some of the most brutal to ever occurred.

The Gustav cannon seems pretty spooky to me from the perspective of a soldier. There’s something pretty menacing about a gun thats the size of a building and can shoot you from nearly 30 miles away. Obviously it was too large to be practical and only shot around 50 shells in combat but I’m sure those 50 shells were pretty darn scary for soldiers in the forts that were shot at.

*Something about soldiers fighting in WWII using martial arts comes off pretty comical when you think about it.*

The Irony of the US submarine fleet was that when the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor, it completely ignored the submarines as well as our dry docks and fuel depots. They were so fixated on destroying the largely obsolete battleships and aircraft like the P40 warhawks, they allowed us to build more aircraft carriers and modern fighters

I would have said that Little Boy and Fat Man were pretty terrifying

One of the most interesting WWII weapon creations in my opinion was the U.S. development of the Bat Bomb. It’s not great using live animals for the attack but the concept itself is intriguing

Y’all forgot about incendiary weapons like phosphorus-filled rockets and firebombing raids (the firebombing of Tokyo and the Blitz of Dresden come to mind.)

You know, WW2 is practically the only conflict where one side was so comically evil it can't even be properly argued
