Its crazy how the F-15 was built in 1976 and still in service while planes in WW2 were so quickly obsolete after a few years. Those engineers deserve every bonus they got.

While the MG42 was the first lightweight portable machine gun in Germany, the Maxim machine gun was introduced in the 19th century and WW1 introduced machine guns which are still in use in Ukraine today.

The ME262 also had a problem with its engines. The metallurgy. Turbine blades weren’t able to cope with the heat and the engine was limited to 25 hours of operation.

I just love when you mention the Avro Lancaster. That practically Britain’s answer to the b-17 and B-29. It’s also nice that you mentioned the dam busters and too bad you didn’t mention the most dangerous air raid when they destroyed the Tirpetz.
