I already had an adjuster come out and emailed an itemized estimate (already approved by insurance), I think it's a lowball offer.

What should be my next step in making sure I get a more "real estimate" with the insurance approving it?

Also, what happens if you receive the insurance funds( haven't yet) and the amount is not enough to cover the damage? Is a contractor's estimate able to get the insurance to pay out more?
