Using the safety score to determine your premium is illegal in CA

They don’t punish drivers for driving at night. They distribute the cost risk of driving at night to those who are actually driving at night.

If you get Tesla insurance, you’ll have to drive like you’re in driver’s ed, and like you’re not driving a Tesla. F that, I have a Tesla so I can drive the heck out of it!

If that’s the case I will never get their insurance. I got the performance so I’d have speed issues and aggressive turning 😂 And the forward collision thing beeps at me all the time even though I’ve got a bunch of space ahead of me and I’m already slowing down. It’s funny it mentions hard braking considering how well the regenerative breaking slows you down.

It is purely based on statistics and for sure fairer than other policies. Furthermore it incentivizes good driving behavior, which benefits the society as a whole.

My insurance premium last year was $6500, yes you read it right! It dropped down this year to around $5500. I live in Brampton, Canada btw (the most expensive insurance in all of North America, or maybe the world I would say). So envious of what y'all pay maannn

Re: Safety Score Based Insurance. My SS driving 90+% on FSD is < 70. Go figure. Seems like it doesn’t like my constant interventions to save it from its crazy antics. 6 months ago, my SS was always > 80%.

They aren't punishing customers, statistically you are less alert at night, amongst other factors that make an accident more likely.

And that is why, I only use Tesla insurance for 1 month. Tesla insurance hardly have any coverage.

Just get pip bd and forget full coverage!! If u pay attention to the roads and other cars around you and ur not a reckless driving u got nothing to worry about.. if u crash and ur not at fault is the other person insurance that has to pay to replace or fix ur car and ur injury’s!

I have Progressive and for my new 2023 M3P insurance is $65.50/ month w/ $2k deductible in collision and comprehensive.
