Here's how I was drawn away from the rrc. First a believer a neighbor, asked me what I thought about the verse in 1Tim 2: 5 . He read it and I didn't have an answer. I did not want to talk religion. He left it at that. I went home and that verse bugged me and I began to question . He did it again with another verse. God used His word to get me to question more. I watched his wifes daily testimony of peace and love. She had something I didnt. Our lives were similar but I was missing something. By Easter Sunday I sat in church and listened to the priest talk about things other than what Easter really meant. I prayed for God to show me if I was where I should be. By this time I wanted the truth. I went to this couples church heard the good news Jesus died on the cross for me personally and rose from the dead to give eternal life if I believed also that I was a sinner in need of salvation. I accepted Christ. Almost 1 yr later my husband did the same thing. That was 43 yrs ago. Its Gods word and the gospel you need to focus on. Discussing catholic doctrine is useless. I know. Gods word is powerful used rightly with wisdom and live. If that person is open you will see it eventually. Debating doesn't work.

the catholic church is having a form of godliness but denying the power thereof idol worshippers making a mere human woman more god then the real God and his Son for whom is our only hope for salvation by his death and resurrection sitting on the right hand of POWER now.... this so called church excepting every wickedness under heaven basically that will be dealt with in due time if they do not see the error of their ways God is not willing that any perish but should come to REPENTENCE!

One very successful strategy for Catholics that are your friends or family is to start a daily scripture to all of them to keep in daily contact with them … tying birthdays, family events etc with daily scripture you send to them …
I started this 2 years ago with my family and went from 5 to 35 to 75 family members . 3 generations from 14-81 years old ….
Stick to scripture only!!!!
I started with Genesis, then went right to Matthew John Acts Romans etc ……
2 days a week I sit in a psalm or proverb
I add a quick summary of the daily scripture and leave it at that …
Interestingly, many now text back
“ good morning”, thank you etc
I stay away from the mass issues for now ….
The point is for them to have the aha moment!!!!

Luckily I have a family that has great faith but we’re born Catholic …and thus never read the Bible cover to cover
The Holy Spirit has blessed us and they are coming along very well

The Fundamental Difference between Protestants and Roman Catholics is this: Rome does not see salvation from start to finish as the work of the triune God alone. Thus, justification before God (salvation) is not through faith alone by God's grace alone, but, as Rome teaches, salvation comes by faith + the meritorious works that a man must do (including unquestionable devotion to Rome and "worship" to Mary.

Although Catholics, in their mind, do not give Mary "worship" reserved for God alone, by giving her so-called dulia, that is, hyperdulia (hyper-service/enslavement), they functionally give her religious "worship, " which is reserved for God alone and prohibited by God, who commanded His people:

“You shall not worship them or serve them; for I the LORD your God, am a jealous God” (Exod. 20:5).

Rome also asserts:

"There can be no doubt . . . Mary was made mediatress of our salvation". . . . St. Bonaventure says that Mary is called “the gate of heaven because no one can enter that kingdom without passing through her . . . . Go to Mary, for she will intercede for thee with the Son. . . .”
(St. Alphonsus Ligouri, The Glories of Mary, 160, 201)


Also, Rome denies that the work of Jesus Christ completely sufficient for salvation. That faith plus meritorious works must be employed for salvation (as Rome teaches) is, according to the Apostle Paul, Christological heresy (Gal. 1:6-8)--it rejects the work of Christ and hence rejects the Person of the Son, Jesus Christ.

Rome's doctrine of Purgatory, is that when a Christian dies without un-forgiven mortal sins, but who retain either un-forgiven daily sins (venial sins) or "temporal punishment" due for sins are "purged" before entering heaven, so as to be made perfect. In other words, they must suffer for these sins in a place of torment to be, so to speak, "scrubbed up" before they can dwell with God in heaven.



Thus, the work of Christ, according to Rome, is not completely sufficient to atone and justify a sinner--for one must suffer for his or her own atonement in order to become righteous before God.



But...Scripture testifies in passages such as Hebrews 10:10-14



10: By his will we have been made holy through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

11: And every priest stands day after day serving and offering the same sacrifices again and again – sacrifices that can never take away sins.

12: But when this priest had offered one sacrifice for sins for all time, he sat down at the right hand of God . . .

14: For by one offering he has perfected for all time those who are made holy.



Romans 5:1-2:

1: Therefore, since we have been declared righteous by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,
2: through whom we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in the hope of God’s glory



As with Mormons and Jehovah’s Witnesses, Catholics are in need of True Salvation. One cannot biblically claim to be truly Christian and reject Christ as the sole means of salvation, justification through faith alone, and engage in creaturely worship.

Catholics please study the Bible to see if these things are true or not.

Don't pray to and idolize Mary. You pray to GOD in the name of Jesus Christ.

Don't argue with a Catholic, be a patient and think about what they say and only give scripture. Know when to give up or you will feel a bit useless. They don't look but they might and if they read scripture then perhaps you can leave them with something. If they want to attack you then you will be caught in a circular endless game.
