We ask the saints to pray for us just like you would ask a friend for prayers. There is zero worship there; our worship is reserved for our Lord. That’s it.

I tell ppl the word pray means to ask. So when we ASK the saints to pray with us they kneel right next to us in front of God. Same with asking Mother Mary to intercede for us. I also point out that the souls in heaven are more alive than we are. So it’s exactly like me coming up to someone (here on earth) to pray for me and such and such an issue. The souls/ppl in heaven are not dead. The only souls that are dead in the eyes of God are the souls in hell. As they are dead to us as well. I hope all of us know or we should know the difference between this and necromancy. If you don’t then learn cuz that is a huge sin. I do believe Fr. Alar has a video abt it.
The Saints are here to help us. They were able to concur sin so we ask for their help to help us concur ours.

These issues will not go away because they need to be addressed for the whole body of Christ. There is a misconstruction going on. Worship, honor, respect. We need to properly address these questions exegetically.

John the Baptist was called the greatest, but Jesus also said those who inherit the kingdom of heaven are greater than John the Baptist (Matthew 11:11).

Mary was also honored and chosen by God for a specific purpose, just as John the Baptist bridged the prophetic voice of the Old Testament, making straight the path into the new covenant that Mary was blessed to carry in her womb. But they are no greater than those who will inherit the kingdom of heaven.

Don’t use traditions to displace the words of Christ less you find yourself the same cadre of Pharisees Jesus condemned. if our righteousness is not greater than the scribes and Pharisees, then we will not see the kingdom of heaven. There is no precept for veneration of saints. Jesus did not establish anything new without referring to the Old Testament that he fulfilled.

Just because Christ performed his first miracle at the behalf of his mother, doesn’t mean praying to Mary Will increase the grace you are given from Christ.

If judgment has not come yet, then, why would you be praying to a saint, who is dead, awaiting the resurrection? Are not the Saints to judge the world and reign with Christ after His returning?

If you’re going to convince a protestant, then you need to use scripture, because they are on guard against traditions that are easily dismantled, because they do not follow the prophet Isaiah’s reproof : 28:13 But the word of the Lord was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken.

Do not ignore the prophets for those who profit from your ignorance of scripture. The Word of God is a lamp unto our feet. The sheep know the Good shepherd and follow him wheresoever he goeth.

It's like someone crawling over sand in a vast desert, seeing a bright light and a spiring of water miles away (GOD)..that's the goal....but on the way, God offers us sips of water, shade from a tree and guidance along the journey (these are Saints/ Mary)...Of course, with free will, you can accept or reject this why would you refuse such help and just try to do it all yourself and keep crawling half dead towards God? He's helping us by giving the gift of the Saints!

I'm starting to see that saints and angels have a role not everything is perhaps done by the trinity if it were why would God have created us and what role should prophecy play even though we can't improve on the words of jesus but we can rely on the holyspirt but the real holyspirt not tongues that aren't even human languages a pure way forward is required to improve and implement helpful change
