Evaluating the unbiblical traditions of Catholicism. Having rejected the gospel of grace they have added a bunch of works and a bunch of mediators between you and God.
We will deal with several specific teachings that have developed over time in Catholicism. Teachings about Mary, indulgences, the seven sacraments, the Eucharist and more.

"Your prayers are powerful because the One you're praying to is powerful." Man, that's good stuff.

Mike, I found your teaching channel in June of 2023. Today is May 7, 2024. I'm going through all of your teaching over and over again and I am learning so much, and yes, I am reading the Bible for myself and searching Scripture and discussing your teaching with my friends who also listen. Thank you and your staff for your ministry. Jennifer in Texas

Raised Catholic. Our church had a priest that was youthful, well-spoken, and very popular. He would ask a question during his (sermon?), and if someone knew the answer, he would say, "Very good! 500 years off purgatory!" Everyone would laugh, but i went home and cried in fear of how long purgatory would be. I later became athiest. I am born again, and it is my personal mission to share the good news of the true gospel to both my sisters, my mother, and my mother-in-law so that they may have the true faith that leads us to being together in eternity with my wife and son. Glory to God in the name of Jesus Christ.

I write this with nothing but love. Anyone who considers themselves a believer should always trade their current beliefs for what the scriptures say. We cannot ever change the Word. This man is sharing nothing but scripture. Not his opinion or his own thoughts. Just the Bible. How can you hear this teaching and not hear the error in the catholic faith?

Jesus said “No one can come to the Father unless through me.”

As an ex catholic married to an ex Seventh Day Adventists, WE APPROVE THIS MESSAGE! Thank you Father in heaven through Jesus! Baptism, Confession, Communion and Confirmation were the initial sacraments.

"No one comes to the Father except by me". Thank you Jesus for your death and resurrection. I know I fall short in my life but that I am saved only by your mercy.

Ephesians 2:8-9 "For it is by grace you are saved, through faith, and this is not of yourselves. It is the gift of God. Not of works, lest any man should boast."

The word Catholic means universal. The early use of the word does not refer to what we know today as the Roman Catholic Church. The universality of Christianity was especially emphasized first by Jesus and later by both Paul and Peter. The Roman Empire legally recognized Pauline Christianity as a valid religion in 313 AD. Later in that century, in 380 AD, Roman Catholicism became the official religion of the Roman Empire. For many years, Catholics were the only people officially recognized as Christians, yet all along there were independent Christian movements. Two movements that became significant were Eastern Orthodoxy and the Protestant reform movement.

I thank God for the technology. that teachings and information like this can reach out to everyone; that we can be awaken from the wrong teachings that we grew up to. you have touched the sacraments that, all my life, I thought I needed in order to be saved. thank you for the very clear explanation of each.

when I was in 8th grade Sr. Herbst taught us about the "saints" and we read about Joan of Arc and the "martyrs" and one day I asked in class, very sincerely, how I could become a saint. The entire class of a dozen other uniformed young "ladies" erupted in laughter as did Sr. Herbst... the apparent foolishness of idea that I wanted to be a saint stuck with me among those peers for _another 20y_ even when I joined facebook my friends joked "how's it going becoming a saint" they'd ask "lol"ing at me... well, I quit facebook before I read the bible and learned the truth... I am thrilled to report to you all... I am a SAINT of the Most High God by grace and mercy through the *_finished_* work of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ... simply *_because I believe that Jesus meant what He said when He said "tetelestai”_* !

Reformed baptist here, love that within the protestant fold, those who hold to sola scriptora, though holding different beliefs, can place our faith in the same hope, Jesus Christ alone

Amazing video, brother. God bless.
I think one of the main hang-ups with Catholics is they get way too tribalistic when it comes to the Catholic church. It's kinda like rabid sports fans that will defend "their" team and act as if "their" team is the best there is, even if they lose every game they play.
One of the biggest red flags is when they claim that the Catholic church is "the one true church". The church is not what's important. Jesus Christ and His teaching are what's important. The church of Jesus Christ is not a physical one of goliath worldly riches and power. It's a church of the spirit, uniting all believers.

A group of people are marooned on an island and live out there lives there. A priest that was with them didn't make it. They are all Catholic. Now there is no one to forgive their sins. Eventually all of them pass away with their sins not forgiven. How many make it to Heaven without a priest there to forgive their sins? Isn't this a very limited view of God?

I was raised Catholic. But even as a young person, it never set right with me. In my 20s, I read the Bible for the first time. There are no Bibles in a Catholic Church except by the priest. He tells you what he wants you to know. But diving into the scriptures is never explicitly encouraged. Therefore, you just believe what the priest tells you. Since you have no true knowledge of the scriptures yourself but only know the Catholic doctrine, you have nothing to refute against. You are just an empty vessel being filled by whatever the Catholic church leadership tells you.

I read the Bible myself before the influence of the Internet, and for that I am grateful. My conversion was as organic as could be. Not one person ever said anything to me against Catholicism. It was my own reading of the word, by the power of the Holy Spirit, that convicted me of the heresy of the Catholic church and its teachings. The Catholic priests today are the Pharisees of old. There is nothing new under the sun. Jesus condemned the Pharisees “teaching as doctrines, the commandments of men, ” which is exactly what the Catholic Church does (as well as Mormons and Jehovah’s Witnesses).

They all use the name of Jesus to establish authority and lend credibility to their faiths, but they quickly abandon Him for their own doctrine. I know many Catholics and I pray for them often to come out of this demonic man-made religion.
