Two of Spain’s seven founding fathers, responsible for the country’s current constitution, are of Catalan origin. This constitution is based on the indissoluble unity of the Spanish nation. Its ratification in 1978 was the result of a broad consensus across diverse parties, including the Catalan nationalists of Puigdemont’s party, and received support from over 90 percent of the Catalan voters in a referendum.

It is money and many, many more things. To mention only one, I have travelled across Spain with another Catalan and between us we were communicating in our language. Day after day, perhaps about 20% to 30% of the people who happened to listen a few words the conversation between us began to insult and menace us. The problem is that they have identified Spain with Castile and want to make the rest of us Castilian by force. It this has happened for more than 300 years. And as far as the Spanish man in the street is heavily brainwashed against all these "Bad Spaniards " who refuse to abandon their mother tongue and culture.

BOTH SEPARATISTS LOST. that is what they deserved for an illegal referendum. Iraqi Kurdistan lost Kirkut as a revenge by Iranian Commander Qassem Soleymani for betraying his support by siding with israel and Catalonia lost its autonomy by Madrid.
