My first time going through Dark Souls, I got all the way to lost Izalith with Seigmeyer's quest, but then I tried to help him with the demons and accidentally hit him. Hearing him think I went hollow and having to kill him just... broke something in me. I loved that goof, I loved his cheerful attitude, his adventurous spirit, everything. and then I had to kill him. I couldn't touch the game for like 2 weeks after that.

35:35 That red/white enemy is one of the most ineteresting mechanincs in Dark Souls, if another player in another world forgets to pick up an item that a enemy dropped that item with become that thing and invade other worlds. The orignal owner of the item will ever know what torture that forgoten item will do to another player. Such an unique mechanic. (if you kill it you get the item)

Fun Fact: After playing Dark Souls 1, I went on TF2 and turned my Demonight into The Chosen Undead with full on knight cosmetics and a sword renamed “Astora’s Straight Sword”.

I just got into DS1 recently (just got to the Bell Gargoyles), but it's been an amazing experience so far! This video has sorta... taught me what to expect, while not ruining the experience of the obtuse-as-hell story of the game.

I have a Chosen Undead tattoo on my forearm in honor of my love for FromSoft games. Dark Souls was the first one to play AND beat. It felt soo good to finally beat the game that I immediately started a new game plus.

man i have not been enjoying my time in ds1 but this video makes me wanna continue. i really wanna love this game as much as I enjoyed elden ring (i started on ds1 but finished elden ring before ds1 to avoid spoilers).
