If I am not mistaken, Benhart in Dark Souls 2 was the same way - he wasn't Undead, he was just so badass he went all the way to the Throne of Want and left his summon sign, on ONE life, using a fake Bluemoon Greatsword.

And to top it off, if i remember correctly, she also doesn't have access to the Estus flask, one of the biggest lifelines for an undead.

Fun fact - since she's human, she has by far the most humanity in the game that you can steal with the dark hand

I always wondered how mamy times shes had to put him down. it seems like it finally sticks down in ash lake, but even then, that must have been a greuling battle of endurance, her with her one mortal life, an undying monster wearing her fathers face, and the knowledge that she has to keep going because if she slips up even once, she wont get a second chance.

I always felt that when she said she'd kill you as many times as it takes, she meant it in a kind way. There's a kindness to her voice, like she's trying to reassure you that she'll put you out of your misery

Always found Sieglinde to be the most badass character. She went to a land where only undeads unafraid of death would go to. And she traversed it as human in search of her father without the ability to rise again after death.

For what little time she was in the game for, I can't deny, she made a huge impression on me and remains one of my favorite characters in fromsoftwares games.

This makes me realize how fitting her name is! 😮 "Sieglinde" is derived from "victory" & "soft/gentle/flexible". She's vulnerable & delicate, yet she still achieves victories with every day she continues to survive against the odds in this hostile world.

I’ve always read that “hollowing” is an in-universe allegory for the player giving up and not playing the game anymore because they found it too difficult to overcome. “Don’t you dare go hollow.” “Don’t you dare give up.” “Persevere, you can do it.”

It's why i respected her and her father greatly and when i saw that armor on someone in DS3 i immediately respected Siegward as well he was the first DS3 npc who's quest i did on my first blind run
