I was 14 when I first picked up a copy of Demon's Souls 2009 and I knew nothing about it at the time. Seeing the opening intro told me I was about to be in for a crazy ride, and I remember feeling intimidated instantaneously. Looking back I'm not too surprised that I gave up on it for a while (the Flamelurker in that game still haunts me to this day). I eventually came back to DeS 2009 and beat it over summer break (I had to have been 16) and man I'll never forget how happy I was after I beat False King Allant my first time. To this day I still think about the guy at the video game store who gave me the obligatory "good luck" when I picked up a copy of Dark Souls on PS3. Of course, the rest is history. Nowadays, I've been getting some of my friends into the Souls series, and I'll forever appreciate the positive impact these games have made on me throughout the years

I got bloodborne when that first came out as my first fromsoft game. Didn’t have that much trouble with it at first. Beat cleric beast on my first try and thought the difficulty of these games was overhyped. Then gascoigne beat my ass for 3 hours. Good memories.

The original Dark Souls, bare bones!

I remember I chose the hunter class, I was so excited to use a bow (I think we all know how that turned out). Incredible game. I was kid, not even in high school then, now I’m an adult and still play all these games to this day. Thank you Fromsoftware.

You've forgotten a step beyond the final one which I did. Demon souls came outside Japan much later than America and Europe. So my uncle and I actually imported it XD

My first one was Demon's Souls on PS3, which was an impulse buy. I bought it because it looked interesting. It collected dust on a shelf for a few months because I had other games to play. When I finally got around to play it, I didn't know what I was getting into. I loved it as soon as I started it. I've been a fan of From Software ever since.

The first souls game I ever played was Demon's Souls :Black Phantom Edition for the ps3. Didn't play another one until DSR for ps4 and in the end, I just fell in love with all of the soulsborne games.

Ds1 on 360 back when it first was in games with gold was my first experience, I really wanted to get into it but I was too intimidated and didn’t know how to progress after getting to fire link shrine and only thinking the catacombs were the only path forward so I really only put about 3 hours into it, years later my first actual full playthrough (atleast up till the final boss) was sekiro and I fell in love with the formula soon after, beating dark souls 3 before elden ring and then going back to dark souls 1 and finishing what I started all that time ago
