Why I’ve STOPPED Spending on my American Express Credit Cards

Recently, I've basically stopped spending on my American Express credit cards. This is because:

1. I’ve noticed I don’t travel a lot internationally, so I don’t end up redeeming my Membership Rewards points as often as I should.
2. Their multipliers aren't that competitive when compared to other cards.
3. American Express has recently changed their welcome offer terms to be more restrictive
4. They have added more monthly, quarterly, and semi-annual statement credits to their cards.

For these reasons, I’m no longer motivated to really use any of their cards.

Which cards are you moving toward instead, especially for travel purposes?

4x on restos, 4x on grocery (Gold), 5x on airline (Plat) and 2x on everything (BBP)... but sure they are not competetive... except there is no one better
