I'm a recent carnivore convert -about 3 months. Just closed out my 36 hour fast with a killer shoulder, bi, tri, calf circuit workout at the gym! One of my best workouts ever (don't have a ketone tester, but I'm sure they was flowing and ketoning!!💪🏽). Yesterday (day one of fast) I did my normal chest routine at the gym too which was excellent! ... This was my longest fast. I was gonna go 72 hrs minimum, but then I remembered I had beef thawed in the fridge already and didn't want to refreeze... Figured since this was my first 24hr+ fast, it was good enough. Ill be scheduling in the 72hr fast in the near future, and plan ahead with nothing thawed out initially!

Should probably mention I still had my cup of black coffee before the gym. Also today I pounded down a LMNT electrolyte drink pre workout as well.

What about if you're hypoglycemic? Should I even be fasting?

Although I agree with many of the things that the doctor says.Exercise and movement is different. Movement is ok but if someone do hard exercise with fasting it will be difficult to the body to recover after working out.. especially with 24 or 72 hours of fasting. You need protein to recover I don't know if ketones do that work but this is don't feel right to me.

This is true, I trained while fasting, it helps with energy levels and I don't get stomach cramps. Plus my mind is clearer. I keep my foods boring and clean. It saved me from cancer and it helps with my Hashimoto's. But people keep thinking what I'm doing is dangerous and stupid. But I've been doing this for five years.
Although, if you overfast, you'll need to make sure to take vitamins to ensure you don't suffer malnutrition. My body can't absorb some foods, do I take it in liquid sometimes

Just to add to this. Remember to drink your electrolytes. Pretty much anything with no carbs or sugar will keep you fasted. Supplements, multivitamins and all that that. Most importantly don't forget your sodium. If you can buy electrolytes with sodium just drink some sea salt.

I like to go on a 10-20 mile bike ride while I'm fasting. It helps to burn up all the glycogen quickly so I get into ketosis faster and benefit more.

Take it easy light walking and stretching fasting days. Knowledge is key. Some say ok some say no. Put it to the test.

I’ve always been told to rest during fasting as it can be dangerous to use up all your energy? I heard of a girl who passed away in the gym because she was doing a cleanse and working out in her fasting week…….so much different advice. I must say though, I have great workouts when I go to the gym on an empty stomach.

I fast while exercising every now and then. Though to lift heavy weights, I found that a solid meal prior to exercising is a must.

Sound bites are dangerous. Fasting before fat adapted or after. What type of exercise? anaerobic, anaeobic, lifting?

Fast for five days this week play racquetball twice even though my fourth day and I was on fire killing it feeling great

Right, you need protein to build and recover. So, where does the protein come from if you are doing a prolong fast and you try to do the same exercises as you used to.😂
