The thing with this is it's not actually a bake. It's baking to keyframes which is diff than baking. Because we are baking to key frames this add an extra step that works well- but should be used more for animation. If you want to do a traditional bake- go to scene properties (cone and cube), there you will find Rigid body world. You can then bake all your rigid body sims- however they wont be saved as key frames. They will just save to cache. For simulations in blender you can keep multiple bakes at the same time... baking to keyframes is more of a thing where you are for sure you keep that exact same motion... not for testing per say. Good video.. I would just change the language a little. But good stuff :) Also if anyone is really getting into Sims try Houdini out... Houdini is Queen of sims :)

It would be good to update the title to baking rigid bodies to keyframes. As the other comment said this is not a simple bake. If you have many rigid bodies in your scene, baking to keyframes would make the blend file really large. It's also tricky to go back from if you want to change the physics later. I have about 4K rigid bodies in my scene as I'm rendering an explosion. In this case I want to bake the physics in scene properties, so it doesn't slow me down and keep recalculating the rigid body physics after I save. Baking to keyframes would be useful if I wanted fine control over a specific object. Like if one chunk of debris needs to move a certain way, I could bake it to keyframes and animate it by hand, using the current motion as a starting point

They guy in your thumbnail looks so realistic! The rest of the video looks like it was rendered in eevee though, and that blurred scene could’ve looked less fake if you used different animations instead of just cycling though the same motion over and over again. Thanks for the tutorial thought!

The timer is not needed and is distracting. Youtube already has the time slider if for some reason I needed to know exactly how long the tutorial is.
