Asheville building floating down river narrowly misses apartment

The building, which was home to the Asheville Tea Company, was destroyed by floodwaters caused by Hurricane Helene. All employees of the tea company were reported safe.

I loved Asheville. Beautiful area, and an artist's haven. I used to visit frequently. I lived 10mins away from Boone, NC, which was also destroyed.

Cali had terrible flooding too. After one disastrous winter the state fixed stronger building codes and helped companies and homeowners meet the new codes.

This is sad. Ashville was one of the beautiful cities i wanted to visit someday. Hopefully those poor people will find their loved ones and can rebuild their lives. The government better pay for the victims housing and food. The government better prove to the Citizens of this country that they can take care of them.
