Inversion is a grammar area that many English students find intimidating and daunting but, as you'll see in the video, it's not as complicated as you probably think. We use inversion all the time in both formal and informal English and it's necessary to understand it in order to express yourself well, particularly in writing.

Students who are preparing for the Cambridge English exams, especially the C1 Advanced and C2 Proficiency (CAE and CPE), will need inversion in Part 4 of the Reading and Use of English paper and also for their essays and other writing tasks.
