I’ve been following you for Five years and sharing your site with my 70 year+ friends new to Pilates like me. I’m a tennis player and your routines have helped my game and general flexibility since I have plenty of arthritis. I was so sorry to hear of your health challenge but know that if anyone can get through this and remain smiling and positive, it’s you. Praying for clean margins snd and a return to life as normal.

I've been told by a couple of physio therapists to always contract my pelvic floor when lifting or squatting and that rule applies to any woman that's had children. Just wondering if you disagree? I am always concerned that I'm lifting properly, but too much contracting during exercise causes tension pain.

Questions. 1.When doing the fast kegels, those "ha ha ha ha", are those just exhales or exhales plus inhales?? 2. When exhales, should belly shrink?? 3. When I exhale and contract pelvic muscles, my abs become a little hard. Is it possible to not engage abs? Thank you!!

Trying to do this while standing (ie standing in line) I feel like I'm rubbing my tummy and patting my head. It just feels complicated. It's easier sitting, any tips for how to do it standing?
