Appreciate the amount of research you do for each one of these videos. Quality shows.

Love the straight info, all you need is to bonk once in an endurance ride to become a PB&J fan

plus, if you care about passing doping controls, anything claiming hyper-gain, beast-mode, mass gainer, etc is probably going to have some "bonus" hidden ingredients

Subscriber count is disproportionate to the content quality. Wish I found this channel years ago. Keep up the good work bruh.

I dunno, seems like this whole video was just a plug for Cupcake Flavored Hypergain Beast-Mode Mass Gainer Raw Addition 🤣🤣🤣

I started eating cherries and berries after my rides based on your recommendation a few weeks ago and have definitely seen an improvement in recovery. I used to eat eggs after a workout, but would still feel sore for a few days after the long rides. I feel ready to go after a day or two now. Thanks again!

Absolutely clear, well informed, probably best short video on nutrition I've seen so far. Thanks Dylan!

Hey Dylan, thanks for another great video!
But let me critisize a bit:
1) Research provided on 2:15 says "average requirement". But it's well known that endurance athletes require 2-3 times more protein (depending on period) comparing to average humans. Would be great to look at the similar table for athletes. For instance I am 75 kg and as a normal human I require 70-75 g protein per day. This is not a problem certainly. But as an athlete I need 140-210 g per day and this a problem for me without a post workout carb-protein shake. (my standard post workout shake is 0.5l of banana nektar + serving of whey protein, so it's 65g carbs + 20 g of pro)
2) In a study you provided at 5:25 participants had a run for 90 min easy run followed by 4h recovery and the run again. I believe that muscle damage from the run 1 is not very significant to affect the run 2. So it absolutely makes sense that carbs intake in this case is way more important than protein.

Amazing, great content! Really loved the debunking of the protein carb recovery mix vs. pure carbs for cyclists

Absolutely excellent video, thanks. Post ride I have been downing a protein shake followed by a bowl of oatmeal with blueberries. Looks like I can skip the protein shake....

Great information Dylan. I really appreciate your science based discussion to dispel the protein myth

“Save your money and shop in the produce section, not the supplement section” This really sums it up! As an RN that is still fit, in his 50’s the STRAVA Local Legend, that rides and trains DAILY. Yes, yes, yes! Eat food, eat the right food, not processed crap and drink ton of water. Sure we all love pizza 🍕, 🍟 🧁 and junk food sometimes but if you’re serious about your ONLY body and keeping healthy, you will avoid these temptations and only break your healthy eating habits on rare occasions.
Keep riding, keep fit!

To summarise - calm down and eat healthy, real food 😁 Interesting bit of debunking, thanks.

Always goes right back to proper nutrition with real food. I appreciate the way you cut to the chase and not afraid to take on controversy. Thanks!
