This only applies before no contact. But after 31 days of no contact, your book says to bait them to think you want to hangout with them as just friends only to build attraction in person & get them back eventually.

Honestly, my husband and I don’t mind being friends with our ex’s. It’s a waste of time and energy hating ex’s because they either dumped you or you dumped them. Plus, they are people at the end of the day, and if you treat others badly because your ego or pride or heart was broken, it will backfire on you. It never ends well. It is a choice to be mature and remain platonic friends with their ex. Most people sadly would prefer to be immature but that doesn’t mean you have to choose to be immature and become enemies with your ex. If however a person continues to reject your friendship, then it’s their loss and you dodged a bullet but never forget the truth from God “Forgive and love your enemies.”

But… she is still really good friends with a high school ex bf who is in the friend group. (7 years ago)

She broke up with him, but on Twitter, he was upset for years. He is now in a year relationship with another girl, who my gf is now friends with.

My gf and him give each other more attention than with their partners when we all hang out. She didn’t tell me about their history until 3 months after already meeting the ex. I had to ask her because their connection felt different as “friends”. And she still has his phone location.

I want to ask if she still has anything left from him, because she only mentions she was a “kid” in high school but they were intimate for a couple years.
