How to fix lockjaw begins with a specific diagnosis and whether or not there are co-existing medical symptoms. If your infection is because of a tetanus exposure, seek out immediate medical care. But if you’re certain that the joint pain is because of something going on with your TMJ, seek the advice of your dentist.

I have had 3 different splints and they all caused me to have locked jaw, I had a new dentist who desided to try a farsplint for me witch keeps my lower jaw foward. I haven't had any lock jaw for over a half year now. It has been the best splint for me.

I’ve got it right now, I had 10 lidocaine injections last week and every day I’m slowly more and more able to open my mouth again. It’s rough, and so so painful

after the adjustment of my braces my jaw starting lock. what should i do?

I was looking up lockjaw because I was eating some popcorn this evening, and all of a sudden, , I started experiencing pain in my ear area and temple area, stiffness in the muscles there. And when I clench my teeth it hurts. It doesn't feel like a tooth cavity or anything. I've had all my wisdom teeth pulled in the past. If I remember correctly they said I had another wisdom tooth in there.

Is nineteen to late to be taking care of your teeth?? My family has never been good at dental hygiene and I’m really scared that something is wrong with my mouth!! I brush them twice a day but never floss because I don’t know how and I have a gum tear above my tooth. I know it’s not gonna heal but I’m scared that my mouth is gonna get worse!!!😢 I’m scared I have a gum disease. Sorry for the long comment but I’m scared!!

Edit: Also forgot to mention that my family doesn’t really take us to the dentist so I don’t know if anything is really wrong with me but I know something is definitely wrong!! 🥺
