I have had deviation for years without understanding it. I have recently been working on it with other techniques. I tried this today on both sides, and I have recently discovered that with back molars resting together my left masseters are locked, probably from being pulled the opposite way for so long. The only way of opening which has been habit is for jaw to come forward so I haven't known what has been wrong for so long. So doing this on that side has helped relax locked masseter region a bit. So will be doing everyday to see how it goes. I use a wooden craft stick as I have found they have been a form a relief over years by jabbing them back inside to masseter but its probably not helped muscles in long run. So thanks for this.

Did this with the the thick end of a zip tie and it worked 5-6 times so far. Still unlocked as of writing this just trying to keep my jaw in the right position to keep from locking up again
