I never had a problem with fatigue until I became a caffeine addict. Once I got completely dependent on caffeine pills that's when I developed CFS, issues with digestion, severe insomnia, etcetcetc the list goes on. It's been 1 week since I quit and I couldn't be happier that I'm done with this drug for good. I'm finally getting my natural energy back and starting to feel like my old self again. If you're thinking about quitting caffeine you won't regret it.

My grandma was giving me coffee in my sippy cup since I was 2 or 3, and I’ve been addicted to coffee longer than I’ve been able to read. I’m fairly certain it’s contributed to my adrenal fatigue, and I’m ready to quit. Grandmother was a horrible narcissist, so quitting coffee is also sort of becoming therapy in a way - breaking the chains of addiction that she put on me

Coffee makes mess of your adrenal glands, and puts body into a constant stress mode.

Coffee makes me anxious around people and unable to focus on anything, making me an almost incompetent person. It also makes me a night owl. When I quit I started waking up earlier and was more focused and relaxed. The problem is that I keep going back due to poor self control but I'm working on that too.

why I quit caffeine. I only went back to it recently because I figured why not? What's a week's worth of caffeine going to change over the holidays? And eventually I started to get anxious, and it would last...all day. So I quit cold turkey and suffered from insomnia for 2-3 days. Wonderful.

You forgot the "worst headaches that literally don't go away with Advil"

So many “self-improvement” channels are focused on fine-tuning every aspect of your life, #hustle, whatever. I appreciate that you’re so honest about the need to improve while also being real about how to go about it, and how to still live an enjoyable life. You don’t feel like a self-important guru, you just seem like a guy lol. Thanks for being both relatable and motivating

I have quit alcohol, smoking, weed, all the meds I have been taking, soda, and a few other things. My next goal is to quit all food, water and oxygen, followed shortly by quitting life itself.

I was drinking 3 cups of coffee a day for a very long time, and I randomly started getting carpel tunnel symptoms, it got so bad it was had to even hold on to things or open stuff. I tried a b6 supplement and it got better but sill had issues I noticed it was worse after drinking coffee. Then I cut my coffee down to 1 cup a day and after about a week I had no more carpel tunnel symptoms and still no issues after about 6 months so far. not sure if it was the coffee itself or the caffeine maybe causing a b vitamin deficiency. it's just strange I have been drinking it all my life, I guess my body just had enough.

I've quit soda and caffeine completely before. I didn't have to take medication to sleep, I was awake but mellow during the day, less anxiety, less depression. More overall mental stability, more stable bodily cycles, and just a better overall quality of life. I want to do this again, in addition to fixing other unhealthy habits I've picked up over time; Mountain Dew burns after you've been off for months

5 cups of coffee per day? That's outrageous!

Switching to green tea works well for me. It has much less caffeine than coffee and contains L-theanine, which can have a calming, focusing effect.

My Doctor put me on a Caffeine free diet 8 months ago. It was very difficult but I stuck to it with 0 relapses.

Took me a good 2-3 months to start feeling normal again and had terrible depression during this time... but was well worth it! I’ve slipped up a couple times since but just end up feeling so drained and groggy it’s not worth it.
This video is definitely best case scenario in terms of withdrawal time, but stick with it, withdrawals will eventually subside :)

I went 55 days without it until new years and couldn't believe how great, calm, and more confident I felt. Drank coffee from the 1st to the 3rd of January and by the third I was like... "Oh. THIS is why I gave it up." The self torture must end! A good cup of tea with a greasy fry or hangover is simply a must though. No point giving up caffiene militantly.
