I have an i9 10900K with RTX 4090, its good to see that there isn't a great deal of incentive to upgrade to the 12th or 13th series of intel CPU's as I run everything in 4k.

I am a bit confused I am looking at the numbers and the 12900K is running at 4.398Ghz on average while the 13900K is running at 5.5Ghz but yet the FPS is almost identical of each other even surpassing it on some games. The 13900K has more cache and is running faster, I would have imagined even higher numbers.

I have a 10900KF @5.1GHZ all cores 1.28v 24/7 and if this benchmark had the 10900k @ 5.1ghz you would see good increase in FPS so that would even make the gap so close between the 12900k if not the same in some cases. unless your on 1080p then the newer CPUs make a bigger difference, As for me i am on 3440x1440 ultrawide so almost same results as a 4k. (my GPU is RTX 3080Ti) OH AND NOTE 12900k and 13900K are using DDR5 5600MHZ so that Also makes a big difference in FPS to be fare this should all be on DDR4 ram same speeds.

my gpu load at 4k
is never above 80-90 percent with the Intel i 9 10900k
ram ddr4 16gb 3200 mhz.
utilization is always around 50-60 percent. This is not the case here with the i 9 10900k
does anyone know why?

When you test those CPUs in 4k, you get into the GPU limit, not the CPU. So its kinda pointless to make those benchmarks. From what you can tell is, that with a 4090 a 9000 series is ruffly = 13000 series, but again....thats completly nonsense. You simple dont seem to understand how to compare CPUs.

9900K is the best choice in my opinion. It uses the least amount of power, runs at a way cooler temp and costs so much less. Bit of a diminishing return if you have to upgrade the rest of your PC for what 30 FPS tops in 1 game? 10 on average and heck you could even grab the 9900KS which would be even closer!
