The benefits of creatine continue to grow! With an already stacked list of reasons to take creatine, how does the arguably "best" supplement get even better? Well, we know creatine has great performance benefits to help with muscle performance, muscle growth, and even muscle strength. To a smaller extent, we also are aware of creatine's benefits to our cognition. But it seems that for brain gains, it doesn't just stop there. It looks like creatine can likely help with our MEMORY as well. Let's find out how!

When I was 20 I thought creatine was leading to hair loss. 25 years later and using it most of that time my hairline has remained the same.

The hair-loss study that came out a few years ago really scared the shit out of gym goers, even if it's unlikely to be true. It's amazing how one paper can heighten people's insecurities to that point.

A quick tip guys when taking creatine you should focus on being properly hydrated. Since it works by bringing water into the cells you'd like to provide it with something to work with. It's s not a miracle supplement so give it a hand in doing its job by doing yours and staying hydrated. Best of luck 👍🏿

I stopped taking creatine but that's ok because I forgot why I started taking it in the first place.

your content would be so good as a podcasts, not too many podcasts that talk about fitness in the way you do

I'd like to see the baseline creatine saturation in older people vs younger people because it seems relevant. Creatine is naturally found in meats and a lot of other food that old people probably don't eat as much

I'm ecstatic. I'm looking for evidence for or against my dad who's just quit smoking and cut back drinking and started going to the gym to take Creatine that I already keep in the house. Big +1 on that one.

Creatine not only gave me better endurance when I practiced taekwondo and do my cardio at the gym... it also improved my mind-muscle connection I need as a musician so it's a wonderful supplement... FInally I can play that whole Giuseppe Sammartini Concerto in F (so far it's 7/10 but it's getting better)

Been taking creatine now for almost 30 years non stop. I'm 61, people think I'm in my 40s. Of course I have always worked out, don't drink or smoke. It also being looked at as an anti-aging supplement and I think every single man should be taking creatine. Nothing is better. I'm 6'1", 87 kg and about 13% BF.

I was taught something about hydration and memory. You know when you can’t remember a simple word or name? It’s often because you’re dehydrated, so drinking more water will improve your memory. Since Creatine increases water retention, it makes sense that creatine would improve memory 😊

Hey PicFit, long time subscriber and got a video idea based on a personal experience: I am recovering from an open appendectomy and I can't lift anything heavier than 5kg, I also had to decrease my food intake because my whole digestive system is slow and not working exactly as expected. I am supplementing with protein and glutamine, but I wonder if are any studies and cases showing the improvements and what else can be done.

You know what, of course my anecdotal experience is worth what it's worth, but as someone who's been struggling with cognitive functions for years and making software as a job, I had noticed a very marked improvement in my work since I started supplementing with creatine this summer. Maybe we'll find in the future that it's more to do with the state of the subject's cognitive functions, or maybe a lack can cause impairment of cognitive functions. Or maybe just having higher energy levels has an effect on (perceived) cognitive performance. Sorry for using this space for speculation!

Also I always said that I'm an old person inside, so everything checks out for me ahah

I have noticed that my memory and thought process in general has improved slightly ever since I started taking creatine so this makes sense.
