Reading all of the comments below from people who have never heard of Star Trek: Continues until they watched this video fills me with joy! :) You're in for a real treat let me tell you! Glad I was able to raise a bit of awareness of this fantastic fan series.

Vic Mignona was the head of this project and proved he is much more than a prolific voice actor, he's also a gifted writer, director and screen actor. Star Trek Continues is the best Star Trek we got since 1997.

Vic honored Trek with an obsessive fidelity that was breathtaking - even to finding the daughter of the Romulan commander from The Enterprise Incident to recreate the role. I was truely amazed.

According to Gene's son, Rod Roddenberry, after attending a screening at Las Vegas in 2014:
"I do have to say, and I said this after 'Lolani', I'm pretty damn sure my dad would consider this canon. The fact that you do stories that mean something, that have depth, that make us all think a little bit, I really think he would applaud you guys, and I applaud you guys. And, as far as I am concerned,  it is canon. So thank you."

The reason it succeeds is because Vick actually talked to William Shatner about the role and took his advice, which is why he nails it, unlike say Chris Pine who doesn't because he didn't.

Thanks for the hearty recommendation of this amazing series. It brought tears to my eyes when l first viewed it. I have seven episodes to finish, so boy am l excited. This series proves that when you genuinly care for a property and you put the right people together, you CAN go home again and even catch lightening in a bottle. All the new Trek product pales in comparison to this terrific show. Best of all, it never feels nostalgic. It simply captures the essence of the original series, fuses it with new energy and gives viewers an unbelievable experience.

Vic really is a class act. The guy is absurdly talented and it pains me to think there are so many out there that were jealous of that and tried to kill him by alienating him from his fans.

Chris Doohan did a fantastic job as Scotty. As I understand it, he had spent time on set with his dad and was using those experiences and memories in his effort to emulate his father. This was one fan project that was truly a labor of love for the franchise and not just a cash grab or attempt at gaining popularity for the actors involved.

Bloody hell! I had no idea: I've just started the first episode, and it truly feels like it was part of the original series! Nothing to do with modern crap. The creators are absolute geniuses.

I recently found out that this series was shot in a warehouse a few miles north of the Florida/Georgia border off of I-95. It's called Neutral Zone Studios and you can schedule a tour of the facility. I'm about 2 hours away and hope to go by summer.

I was absolutely amazed at how well this production matched the lighting, editing, set construction, writing, and overall feel of the original series. I consider Star Trek Continues to be the gold standard of Star Trek fan films.

Vic and his team deserve high praise for STC. Thank you for covering this series.

I absolutely loved this series! It was well worth my time. I know it's horribly cliché to say at this point, but I'm going to say it anyway: This is more authentic Star Trek than anything we've seen for decades.

I got to have a very small role in the show on Episode 6 "Come Not Between Dragons" and I will say it was absolutely the BEST experience I've ever had. Everyone behind the scenes is so true and authentic I absolutely recommend them to anyone.

I found STC a couple of years ago, entirely by accident, and it was like winning the lottery. You couldn't have wiped the smile off my face with a baseball bat. I agree with every single word of this review. Every. Single. Word.

I discovered Star Trek Continues by accident a few years ago and was enthralled because it was so accurate. Now when I binge watch the Original Series I finish off by watching Continues as it was done so perfectly. My only gripe with the show is that it ended so soon. It was sheer perfection.
