The expressions on Jeri's face say volumes; her every tick and twitch convey so much conflict, doubt in herself, and a somewhat confused but proud acceptance when she is promoted. Well done, Mrs. Ryan.

This is one of the few scenes I ever saw in Star Trek that made me tear up a little. Jeri Ryan/Seven of Nine has become one of Star Trek and TV’s great actresses and this is so well-earned by her and we are all cheering for this.

I like how the Voyager theme was interspersed with Picard Season 3’s recurring motif. And, later in the episode, when Jack introduces the Enterprise-G, the TNG theme is interspersed with the same motif.
