It's great to see a REAL wing chun master for a change! You can tell how he handles those punches very easily.

i practice jeet kune do and boxing, i did wing chun for over a year, the best thing to do is to combine the movements of boxing with the bong soa lap sao pak sao, if you combine these with the head movements and footwork of a boxer you will notice that you have much more chance than the regular traditional wing chun, dont wanna bitch about wing chun i thinks its great but to fight a boxer you really have to adapt believe me,

any real boxer, retracting the right cross would launch the left hook... and u can search your head miles away.

What about doing a fook sao from the inside rather then the Bong Sao ? I was told that the Bong Sao should be used as a last resource. Isn't right ?

Well, using Bong Sao is not necessary at all. Just punch to block since Fuk Sao is a punch basically, bong just gives your elbow up from the center. Or why not using Biu Tze to attack the second attack after slight Lap sao. Or just using a Biu Tze hook after second attack, it would surprise the opponent.

the part where you grab the arm, wrong it wouldn't work and a boxer wound never leave their hands out there long enough for you to do that.

but is it really considerable that even an amateur boxer l
would allow himself to remain vulnerable, open, and exposed like what is displayed in this video?

i mean, they're a lot more fluid than just one-two combos.

just a thought.

I recently started training in Wing Chun about a month ago and like the Bongsao block, but how long does it really take to get it right to be really effective in a fight as a tool of Defense. ....and thanks for the videos as they are great for me in reference to my classes...

straight right crosses, looping and rear hooks look similar this only works if you have distance to slip to the outside

I appreciate you uploading this video. HOWEVER, it will be very difficult for Wing Chun or any other Fighting Art to get the advantage over a equally trained boxer.

A good boxer is lightening fast, and his foot work will be hard to keep up with.

Do a video with a real boxer next time. This is not a challenge to you. It'll be a much better example for your audience, and many more will respect you for it.

I practice Wing Chun, under a Moy Yat school and with Hong Kong practitioners once a year, but I must say, the sweet science of boxing is deeper, and absent here.

What if the boxer follows up with a left hook

I would like to see the defense against the same strike from the inside

Why you just don't do bongsao and back fist as easiest and and most simple thing?

anatoliyminchev

Why the extra move to the other hand? Why not just do the bong sao, lop sau, turn the bong sau over and punch through the center?? You are over-complicating it. I mean, wing chun IS about economy of motion, right?

The gloves make the boxer slow nobody has gloves on the street. If realistic no gloves vs. no gloves

if you facing a real boxing do you think that bong sau will eventually block his punch? bullshit

this guy is trying to make wing Chun look like MMA? there are better ways to deal with those or that attack. just saying
