Sunday Reset!!

In today's Sunday Reset I will be showing you the planning process of a Sunday Reset.

Sunday Reset - This is where I spend 2-3 hours on a Sunday to shop and prepare for a busy week to come. I do whatever I can on a Sunday to relieve some of the mental pressure of needing to think each night what to cook. It also saves us time and money throughout the week!

This weeks meal Plan:

Breakfast for Myself at work:
Mango and passionfruit yogurt with frozen raspberries and granola

Lunch for Myself at Work:
Tuscan Chicken and Rice Bowls
(David takes leftover dinner from the night before)

Dinner Plan:
Turmeric Chicken and Rice with Steamed Green Veg
Satay Chicken (this will cover two nights and is a family FAVE!)
Stuffed Chicken Breast with crispy potatoes and slaw
Moroccan Chicken Thighs with sweet potato mash and Steamed green veg
Beef Bolognese with Basil and Bocconcini (double batch made in a previous week and used this week)

Snacks
Pizza scrolls
Coconut and Raspberry Chia Puddings
Banana and Chocolate Cake
Cut up fruit and veg

Budget Breakdown
Total Spend $375.46 (Coles $40.06 and Woolies $335.40)
Fruit: $39.59
Veg: $52.66
Meat: $88.05
Treats: $23.30
Toiletries: $30
Household and Cleaning: $21.60
Everything else $120.26

Thank you so much for all your diligent and thorough videos Monique! I am still at uni and am not yet a mum, I am primary carer for my disabled mum. I have been in a real slump the past 6 months with caring and studying and working, but watching your videos, and seeing how approachable and satisfying you make the process has inspired me to try to get back into planning and prepping. I am just starting with planning meals and trying to prep just breakfast + snacks for mum and me, and just did my planning today (in prep for Monday grocery shop). I am using your snack recipes and dinner recipes, and am excited to try making the panna cotta 😊 You honestly seem so sweet, and your mindset around prepping and just doing your best, has really helped me ease myself back into getting on top of everything - and you’re also Australian which is a super useful niche! I hope you don’t feel pressure to always be organised and perfectly on top of everything because of the type of videos you make 💗 Thanks again and best wishes to you and the family x

You’re an inspiration. There’s only two adults in my house so while I plan and prep ingredients each weekend, I make things eat night. It’s only really snacks and work lunch I prep in advance. Well done!

I think you do amazing l watch you to get ideas we are a family of 4 l have to adult children who l cook lunches and dinners for just the same for my husband and we have two jack Russell who l cook for also we spend $300 or more some weeks. You have taught me so much and very greatful for what you do

Thank you so much for your videos, I look forward to each and every one. I am on week 3 or 4 of trying to do this and am getting better each time. It takes me about 5 hrs so far but I am trying to cook dinners for the whole week (4 to 5 full dinners) plus prep stuff for some breakfasts, snacks and lunches for 5 adults so I think I am doing alright really. I cannot even begin to tell you how much happier our whole family is! Everyone is thrilled with the full fridge at the start of the week, me and my husband are thrilled with the grocery savings and I am thrilled with how easy it is for us all to keep the kitchen clean for the rest of the week. Even though I feel like there is still a lot of learning/tweaking to do, it is definitely making a big impact for us. I have sent just about everyone I know links to your videos too. :)

Don’t give anyone your daily hour schedule. There are many people out there that are not that nice. Just say my husband and I work. We help each other and when he is home early he warms up meals for us.

Congratulations on reaching a wider and wider audience. Very well deserved. It would be great to hear how you manage to do this when you’re tired and just feel done for the day but still know you have meal planning etc etc to do? Basically how do you stay disciplined and energetic enough to push through 😂 💤 😊
