These are the exact reasons why I started lifting! I was really hesitant at first but after seeing how strong I became, and how toned I am now, I became addicted to it!

I haven't seen ANY positive visual changes (from workouts) to my body till I started lifting things over (and way over) 22 lbs regularly )) and I started in my 30s! So girls, leave your 2 lbs pink dumbbells alone and pick up the real ones, and you will LOVE the results.

I've tried every type of exercise, I used to hate working out. I started weight lifting 6 weeks ago and for the first time in my life I'm looking forward to hit the gym. I feel stronger, my posture has improved, I sleep better, I have leds sugar cravings, I feel more confient and an overall improvement in daily tasks.

I'm so glad you brought up all these myths - they ARE crap! Strength training is awesome and I hate hearing how women don't need to do it to lose weight or tone muscle. It's essential! Definitely my favorite type of workout! Keep up the great videos, Joanna!!

The mood changing and more energy is so true! I used to be tired all the time but lifting weights help me so much. I'm more positive and I have more energy for doing stuff :) love that aspect of working out. Better and toned butt is also a good thing ;) but I'm more happy to doing something good for my health 💪🏻

5:24 - 5:54, I totally agree! I was deppressed one day that I was about to spend some of my money to drink alcohol, BUT I ended up walking to the the front door of the gym and started lifting.. I just keep on going and lifting heavy and heavy weights not knowing what the result will be.

But fast forward, after 2 years, I get better results in life, not just in gaining good physical strength and body.. But it made me addapt to other areas of my life that before I was afraid to do.

i started lifting in october of 2018. before i started whenever i would get gas i would have difficulty holding the nozzle, my hands would get tired and start to hurt. Now I can hold the nozzle no trouble, my hand doesn't hurt or get tired! i was surprised when i realized it and i 100% attribute it to strength training and a better diet

YES--you are so right! Great video 😊 I LOVE strength-training! I hired a trainer to help me more with strength-training. And lately, I've had so many co-workers notice the change and ask me how much weight I've lost. Truthfully....ZERO lbs lost these past 2 months, but I can tell I've put on muscle, and my clothes fit so much better 🤗
