Stacy... I've been trying to get "too bulky" for a decade now, and I have 18x more testosterone than any woman ever could naturally. You can't accidentally get bulky.

As a guy who lifts I have no problem with girls lifting and it can even be an attractive quality and something we have in common i think everyone should be able to put in the work and improve themselves

Ooh fun fact: muscle building actually burns more calories as a whole. Cardio burns calories at the time, but muscles themselves use up lots of calories so if you build muscle you will burn more calories without doing cardio bcz the muscles take calories to sustain themselves. Also whatโ€™s your workout? Iโ€™ve been trying to gain lots of arm strength

Funny story freshman year of high school. We were doing weight training and the senior football players were also in there. Something you got to know is my legs were crazy strong from the amount of cycling I used to do and I was super tomboy, like I climbed on the roof all the time all kinds of stuff. I just happened to be on leg lifts machines where you're pushing the weight up. Started out was way too easy so put more weight on and simply what happened I had two seniors next to me and when I started pressing up more weight than they started adding stuff to theirs and it got to the point where I had no problem doing it at all and they couldn't even get it halfway up and I was doing way more than they were. The PE teacher came up behind me and slap the back of my head with his clipboard and when I looked at him he told me not to make the grown men cry . I used to be able to carry 200 lb across the bakery I used to work at.

Exclusively doing one or the other is a mistake, cardio makes your heart healthier so it's important not to ignore that but weights does so much for your physical well being that cardio can't do. The best idea is to mix it up, do both and don't get too wrapped up in how any of it is making you look, focus more on how it makes you feel

I lift, and I lift HEAVY. Majority of the time when I try to get a female friend or family member they refuse to lift with me for one of these reasons. It's ridiculous.
I've never felt so good about myself until I started lifting. And no, I've never been bulky. Still a size 0-4 (depending on the brand)

Actually, mixing weightlifting and cardio is the best thing you can do. You can do one or the other but mixing them is actually a lot more productive.
