Pull-ups and especially weighted pull-ups are my favorite on the list . The average person not being able to do it doesn’t reduce its effectiveness.

Weighted pull-ups have given me the best results out of all the back exercises I’ve ever tried. Important to go slow on the way down and pause at the top. They’re also a good test of your overall fitness. Never going to see an overweight person banging out weighted pull-ups.

I really enjoy videos like these. You guys are able to share different perspectives while still having a great conversation. Just because you disagree doesn’t mean you can’t get along or learn from each other/expand your horizons

I'm glad you guys mentioned that at the end. I personally use the assisted Pull-up/Chin up/ Dips machine to start every workout. Over time I've been able to work down to only using it at 25 lbs assistance, focusing on the slow eccentric for shoulder stability.

I love being able to do actual pull-ups, but I'll stick with the machine to prevent injuries. 👍🏋️💪

Pullups the best exercise imo. I had a shoulder injury few years back and since i've been doing pullups the pain is gone and I hang every day on the bar for stretch and warmup. U also train your abs and forearms and wrist strenght while doing them.. My first exercise on back day = 5 sets pullups to failure and i finish my back/bicep workout with one arm underhand pullups on the machine after i'm done with all back and bicep exercises, those give me a sick pump and its a great finisher.

Greg really like that explanation for resting both arms. I could see it that he learned some thing, because I learned it too. Greg is always in the pursuit of knowledge but it’s very rare someone actually teaches him something new
