Don't let bodybuilders hear about the unlimited raw egg buffet.

As a Canadian this gave me a lot of anxiety. We learn in school that our egg standards are pretty low compared to Asia and Europe. Seeing someone eat a raw egg is so scary to me still.

I can do a raw egg over some rice or with something. I couldn't eat them by themselves, it's the texture not the taste.

It depends on how the eggs are being prepared before sold (or even laid) here in Sweden we can eat raw eggs from the grocery store without a major risk of catching salmonella or other illnesses.

As an American who totally freakin loves eggs of all kinds, I’ve always been jealous of Japan ever since I learned their eggs are so good they’re safe to eat raw

In Germany you can eat eggs raw too. they're also not refrigerated, because we don't wash and or chlorinate them so the shell stays intact

I'm going to Japan for my birthday and had no idea what to do! So thank you for all these ideas for places, even if they're a little weird!

Visiting Japan is on my bucket list mainly for the food culture. Their food is so clean compared to America, it's always exciting to watch people showcase the different foods.

In Poland kids have their snack made from the raw egg yolk. Just mix egg yolk with sugar and you get the best snack ever. Kogel mogel its called. Check it out

Survived on raw eggs with rice for a long time. 😂 It was cheap, and I had no time. I still have it sometimes just for nostalgia.

Never got salmonella, though. USA.

I'm from Poland and eating raw eggs isn't something shocking for me, but we don't usually do that. I know two dishes with raw eggs in it. (they may not be polish, but they are popular here) One of them is tatar, which is basically ground beef with some other things like pickles, mustard and egg yolk. The second thing is kogel mogel - egg yolks with sugar. Tbh the thing that suprises me more is keeping eggs in the fridge.

Well, in my country - Poland - we have dish called "kogel mogel" - it's raw egg yolks blended with either sugar, or cocoa - maybe its texture is kidna weird to drink/eat, but still tastes pretty good in my opinion.
