The man by the name of Randy Hansen, I have never in all my life seen nor heard anyone come close to Hendrix playing and singing, if you've never heard of Randy then you are in for a massive treat.

Your right and it makes it hard to sing too.

Jimi was a true genius. Miles Davis told him that is ok if can't read music. Most jazz players can't read.

What made Hendrix so great was the fact he was an artist that was great at guitar. He was an artist first and foremost. If you pay too much attention to his hands you wont hear his lyrics or the song itself.

Excellent Observation! I read that toward the end of his time here, Jimi was hanging around and jamming with The 'Jazz' Legend, Miles Davis. Miles was trained in Music Theory by Julliard School of Music and... especially by Clark Terry, Charlie Parker, Dizzy Gillespie, and Gil Evans. All Miles had to do was play a chord on the piano, no matter how nuanced or complex, and Jimi had it locked in. However, Miles was worried that if he showed Jimi too much theory and how to read music, that he might lose that 'Natural Thing' Jimi had.

It's all about perspective.
Thank you so much for sharing.
Was wandering why there was off beats in there.

There is a great video on YouTube called “Everything I got WRONG about Hendrix’ ‘Little Wing’ where a guy really breaks this down on the straight time swing thing

That's the difference between his Voodoo Chile and SRV's.

Great job! Also, Hendrix used to play in the "weak" tempos, like the 2 and the 4, and/or little out of time, like the greats of blues used to do to put some feeling on it, and did some "rubatto" witch is to variate the rythm/timing of phrasing.

excellent point my man. Not a lot of musicians understand these changes with shuffle, swing and straight rhythmic feels. it’s these differences as a drummer that I notice very good musicians and not so good musicians. Understanding dynamics and articulation also make a big difference.
