The thing about music theory is that it helps you communicate specifically what you want. Lots of guitarists are really anti theory but then use terms incorrectly. As a drummer the ryhthm pyramid is essential and I think for any writing musician, no matter the instrument, you should know your subdivisions improves solos ryhthm riffs writing and understanding as well as being able to communicate with your drummer when trying to get a specific sound

I always give you a like and it’s just the way you teach, I am a jazz player and I’m getting in 2nd voicing inversions and even tho I’m not a metal player you can learn a lot from your channel keep it going

You should sing the scales over the cords to develope youre ear. Playing the wrong notes aren’t always wrong. Dissonance can by used for contrast

I will be getting my first guitar at the beginning of next year, and am wondering if the Fretboard Mastery course is downloadable by itself only? As I am just starting to play I'd like to not overwhelm myself with all stuff and just get the basics down first.
