Thank you for the great tutorial! I've just started with FreeCAD and BIM, too.
I stumbled across two interesting things :
- When placing windows and doors from the inside they are all mounted inside-out, meaning they all open to the outside (using the "Opening" parameter of the WIndow/Door in the Data-Tab). My solution is to place them from the outside and use the "Offset" Parameter of the Window/Door in the Data-Tab to move them where I want them inside the wall.
- also for placing windows above floor level there is the parameter of "Sill height" when creating and initially placing the window.

In Finnish, "Harjoitus tekee mestarin" means "Practice makes the master". Or, "Kertaus on opintojen äiti" means "Repetition is the mother of studies".

I would love to see a tutorial on designing the internal structure of walls for a room (studs, drywall sheets etc.) and generating material lists, cut lists etc. from that.
