If you are new to modeling and are attempting to use FreeCAD, this tutorial really is arguably the best one out there. At the risk of a "backhanded compliment", you absolutely will not waste your time watching it. But more honestly and sincerely, this tutorial really covers things at just the right level of complexity for a beginner who is just getting started. After completing this tutorial, you will be accomplished enough to start trying new, different, "weird" things -- meaning that if you don't want to immediately watch the next-level lesson, you can start exploring on your own and you will have a sense of what should work, what might not, where to do web searches to get answers, etc. That, by my criteria, is what tutorial should accomplish at a minimum and this one does so.

I am a retired designer who used Pro E and Wildfire since 1990. I recently purchased a 3d printer and downloaded Freecad to do my modeling, and it had me scratching my head. Your video really cleared things up. I believe it's easier for a complete beginner in 3d modeling to learn new modeling software than someone like me using the same software for 30 years.

This is very very good. I especially appreciate the clear English. There is another channel on YT with many many videos, also in English, but with such a horrible British dialect that his words are often unintelligible. For example, the word "extrude" is rendered in Brit mush-mouth speak as "strude". One syllable. All words that begin with "th" are pronounced as beginning with "f." But even words that have internal "th" combinations are also pronounced as the "f" sound. Nitpicking? Maybe. But as an American who lived in the UK, I know that not all Brits speak that way. It's only certain regions. The other YT channel does not do as good a job in several hours as this one video does in a single hour. Excellent organization of the manner of use of FreeCAD. Well done.

Sorry about the rant. Kind of. I think that if a person is going to narrate a YT video, that person should make some effort to speak clearly, no matter what language in which it is composed and delivered. End of rant.

The BEST thing about the video is the intelligent organization of the instruction so that FreeCAD can be quickly put to use to make complex useable objects. That is the goal! Thank you!
