If your back arches at the bottom when the barbell is on the floor, just elevate it by using plates as a platform. I’m 6’4”, and need to use 25lb plates for height so my back doesn’t arch. Hope it helps ❤

I believe the concentric portion of the lift should be more explosive and the eccentric can also be faster as the eccentric portion is not the focus of the lift. Something like that from what I've heard from Rippetoe

Do you recommend thumbless grip? Most vids I've seen are regular grip

Is it ok to look up at the mirror doing this or not. I feel like my neck can become stiff but I feel obliged to look at the mirror.

No, you have to use some momentum and start with some knee extension as a kick off. That's not cheating, that's the way it's supposed to be. You don't have to call it pendley row, this is THE ROW. Actually it's an assistance movement for deadlifts, not a bro-exercise.

This is definitely not a PR but looks more like a regular BOR… you need that momentum and faster eccentric my brother.

Yeah and dont do it like this even if its for the sake of teaching, put as much weight as possible and use lil bit of momentum for best strength gains
