Misusing of free will created infringement on others and so the infringement of the basic law, missing the mark or law is Sin.

For God to create, He only had to speak.
For God to redeem, He had to bleed.

Still, that lack of good must be physically manifested in some way. Who determined in which way that lack manifests, but God himself?

I find it frustrating that supposedly intelligent people can ask such a stupid question. Can they not understand that sin is a product of the gift God gave mankind; Free will.
I believe it’s just an attempt to point an accusing finger at God.

Why does God define the standard of Goodness

Franks answer to the subject of sin was, frankly, gobbledegook!

_Before_ God created everything did evil and sin exist? NO!
_After_ God created everything does evil and sin exist? YES!

Ergo, evil and sin ultimately came from God!

I believe that Frank is wrong in this case.

God did create evil because there are things that good can't do by its very nature, but evil can, and one of those things that evil can do but good can't do is the inflicting of punishment upon those who do wrong because by its very nature good simply can't do it.

The inflicting of punishment is something that good can't do because by its very nature good can't cause harm and harm must be inflicted in some form or another in order to punish someone.

This is why I believe that God created both good and evil and that both good and evil can be used in right and wrong ways.

Sin is using both good and evil the wrong way.

Evil is not sin if it is used the right way because God uses evil the right way to inflict punishment on those who do wrong because good is incapable of doing it by its very nature.

God is not using good when he is punishing those who do wrong, he is using evil the right way.
