Children ask the most difficult questions

There is great evil in the world. But there is also salvation and deliverance. And there is nothing more beautiful than redeeming love through the evil like calm seas after a storm.

This is a very dangerous answer to give to a child. The question is actually erroneous, "sin is not a created thing, like stars, moon or animals", sin is an act of distorting what is good and right in the standard of God.

1) The Bible does not tell us why God created Satan.
2) God created humans in His image which includes the conscience and the ability to choose between obeying His sovereign will or their own -- otherwise, a relationship cannot exist.
3) When Satan, his angels, and Adam (and his descendants) chose to live apart from God, the consequence of their choice was to live apart from all that is righteous and divinely good (in the theological sense). Living apart from God includes living in a world where there is no righteousness or divine goodness, and the result is living under the power of sin which motivates people to carry out evil acts. And God has allowed this to happen for a divine purpose.
4) This divine purpose of God is to demonstrate his love, mercy, and grace for those who are His (predestined for salvation from the penalty of their sins). The Bible does not say why He predestined some and not others. It is not necessary to know because God is not obligated to save anyone who has violated his Law. And, the Bible clearly says that all that God does is perfectly righteous and just. Those who reject God's salvation through Christ truly demonstrate that they do not want God, and don't belong to Him, and therefore were not predestined for salvation. What more proof do you need, when they would rather live in hell than be with God.
5) This evidence will be revealed on Judgment day, and those who don't want God will be eternally separated from Him in Hell, a place totally void of any good..., a place of torment which is the consequence of sin. We cannot know why the consequence of eternal hell is so severe, nor can we judge God for the decision to create it, for He is perfectly Good, perfectly Holy, and perfectly Just. Who is self-righteous, sinful, depraved man to judge the decrees of God???

Poor little girl. I know she had to be more confused than I am. With all due respect to Dr. Sproul answer didn't make any sense at all nor was it biblical.

The worst circular logic and non answer ever....no Christian has a logical answer for that question, it's always word salad and tons of cope.

Those who criticize this short answer which is excellent) need to deepen their understanding of theology and watch Sproul’s video “What Is Evil and Where Did It Come From?” (58:11). Also, research other proposed answers to the problem of sin and evil ( common, philosophical and historical). Then complete your criticism with your own “correct” explanation. Thank you

Mortality/Death(and all included within it) is not a REALITY, and God has absolutely nothing to do with the false appearance of it(and the Realized Christ of Jesus demonstrated that mortality/death is not of God, as your Realized Christ will do also)....

Only Our ignorance of Truth of Being is Responsible for the Appearance of that which we believe is Mortal.

Right Here, Right Now, ONLY Infinite, Perfect, Omnipresent Spirit is!!

Spirit is. Therefore, I Am!

He that Realizes He is the Son of God has Eternal Life! He then walks through the mortal appearance a Divine Being, in who the 5 Senses of Mortality have been Impersonalized, therefore hold no power over him. His fidelity is to the Immortal Spirit he is, and no longer to the mortal sense of life not of God.

-Christ Realization

The RESURRECTION is when you drop the belief and reliance upon the False Appearances of the World Mind of Mortality through the Acceptance and Realization of God/Spirit being the only Infinite, Perfect, Omnipresent Being, thereby knowing your true self to be the Infinite, Perfect, Omnipresent Spirit of God.

We Must OVERCOME the Belief that we are not Immortal, Divine

To him that overcometh(mortal belief of the tree of good and evil)will I give to eat of the Tree of Life, which is in the Midst of the paradise of God(right here, right now)....

Turn ye from the false images of the mortal world of man with breath in his nostrils, and Dwell in the Secret Place of the Most High!!

Therefore, to teach children anything less than this belief is sentencing them to death.
You must have a Virginal Consciousness that God is the Only Presence, and then teach them until you are no longer needed to do so!

Peace Be Unto You

Made no sense and ended with your ego which is sin for a cheap laugh!
I am a Christian 8 months, evil exists in my opinion because of our free will, we can choose Christ or not, the not is the opposite of Christ/ good. If there was only good the world be no evil therefore no choice. Pride, ego the self is what Satan chose. We have the same choice to serve God or serve ourselves. Keep searching keep questioning don't give up, Jesus Loves you more than you can comprehend 💜☺️✝️

That poor girl would have gotten much more help asking a provisionist or molinist, than a calvinist. I think if I were that child I would leave feeling more frustrated with my brain more scrambled, and still doubting God's goodness.

How can there be a hero unless there is a tragedy...without sin there is no sacrifice...PRAISE THE LORD JESUS CHRIST 🙏...like R.C. says... it is good that there is evil...adult meat for mature Christians...ROMANS 8:28
THINK... In this Earthly paradigm things are good or evil but without evil there is no good 🤔 ...in heaven there is no good or evil...🤔 But PERFECTION in JESUS CHRIST 🙏

This is what happens when a Calvinist attempts to explain the existence of evil despite their theology making God the author of all human actions, including the evil ones. Here's a non-Calvinist, that's to say a Biblical, answer.

1: God didn't create evil or sin. God gave us the free will capacity to accept or reject Him, and part of rejecting God is rejecting morality. People sin in their rejection of God.

2: The Bible doesn't say why he created Satan, but it does say that God didn't create Satan as the awful person he ended up becoming.

Haha...i think of everything as like a movie.. God is the writer and director and he sets the artist and actors with different roles...

Each of us has its own role in this God's whole movie where He is the director.. so some He appoints /ordained / create/ predestined
To have their specific roles..

Some are good and some are bad..some are innocent..some are not..and some are protagonists..and of course the must be the antagonists and that is Lucifer / satan...

We cannot change our role in Gods movie.. whatever role he created for us..we are going to live on it until we end..

This is all God's Movie..and all His creation are a part of His Movie
accordng to His Own Pleasure
