On April 30, 2019, there was a shooting in a UNC Charlotte classroom. Two people died and four were injured. The following semester Dr. Frank Turek and Dr. Rice Broocks went to UNC to minister to the hurting students and to answer their questions. Here is Frank’s answer to a question about Satan which goes to the very heart of why there is evil at all.

“Paradise lost in Genesis and Paradise regained in Revelations” being said was a sentence I didn’t know I needed to hear

It sounds so arrogant to me when mere mortals have the audacity to judge God's plan when we can't even comprehend the utility of a blackhole.

Probably one of the most difficult thing to understand and accept.
But even though it's real tough to accept, God is right, he gives me freedom but also give freedom to "bad people", that's the only way love can exist, there must be a choice between good and evil. That's the whole point of our short life on earth

Whatever is going on between those two, it continues today, and it definitely involves us, here. This "stage" works too perfectly to be out of chaos. So, the matter of individual choices seems very prominent in the scheme of life.

But if Satan is damn evil, why the hell would god allow him to be down here with us!??? Why not send him to a different universe?

How can we have free will if god already knows what were going to do?

Lucider was a perfect angel. Where would he even gotten the idea and concept of pride to rebel in the first place? A computer can't do something if it is not programed to have it.

Lets take it a step further- why did God create evil and the knowledge of both good and evil on that tree?

Luke 17 verse 1 : Then He said to the disciples, "It is impossible that no offenses should come, but woe [to him] through whom they do come!

Doesn't this mean God indirectly created the concept of sin?

if God could see the future then why did he create Lucifer and give him the highest position.

I appreciate how Frank focuses on cause-and-effect. Scripture attest to the ultimate “cause” of “evil” is the Creator - God, Himself.

Is. 45:7 (KJV) says

I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things

This begs the question, “Why?” Why would a gracious, loving, compassionate and “just” God “create evil” as, “Thus sayeth the Lord declares, ” be both known and understood” by His creatures for who He is and what He is like.

Hence, how could we know, appreciate and value His character had not we were first subjected to injustice / evil. Consequently, so we then “can choose, ” to “embrace freedom & grace.” Having first been subjected “to a lie, ” which leads to shame and disgrace?

A better question is why does Satan have the powers to inflict suffering and influence people’s minds supernaturally?
