Cardio & Strength HIIT for Women // All Standing Workout with Dumbbells for Menopause!

Get ready for this challenging full body workout! This routine really shakes things up and will activate your muscles for growth and provide optimal calorie burn. All exercises are standing and are set to a timer with 40 seconds of work and 20 seconds of rest. There are a total of four rounds. Each round begins with one high impact cardio move (check modification boxes for low impact options) followed by two strength exercises, one for the upper body, one for the lower body. We will then repeat those same exercises for a second set. Please go at your own pace and use weights that are appropriate for your ability. For reference, I'm using a set of two 12 pound (5.4 kg) dumbbells and a set of two 8 pound (3.6kg) dumbbells.

Although I went through menopause 16 years ago, I could not have done this workout in my early 50’s!!! Lol. Day 167 here with your workouts and today I experienced how much progress I’ve made. First time using 10 lbs for heavier weight, 8 lbs for lighter, and 5 lbs for triceps work ( I’m pretty weak in that area) ! Thank you for the modification boxes, Lauren. So incredibly thoughtful. I did challenge myself with tiny impact after listening to you how that helps. A knee injury two years ago really set me back until I found your channel. God bless you, Lauren. Jeez Louise, I'm 19 and very fit, and I've roped both my mom and grandma into working out with me this summer.
I usually do SeniorShape with Grandma, and more intermediate Pilates videos with Mom.
Today, our TV isn't working, so I told my mom we could do a SeniorShape video on my laptop because it's easier to follow that without a TV than the Pilates videos where we're twisted in bizarre ways and craning to see the screen. She went, "You want me to do an old lady workout??" But I told her it's harder than it looks, and we have a running menopause joke in our house, so when I saw this, I knew she'd have to try it just to see what it was about.
We are WHIPPED, Lauren. I was prepared for a workout, but I did not expect to be fuLLy humbled by your videos today, and now we are both covered in sweat, panting, and off to go shower. Normally your videos are a fun way to connect with my grandma and get her back in shape; not so challenging to me, but you win this time... You win.

Wow! This was intense but I needed it so much! Menopausal weight gain was the reason I started working out with you almost one year ago.
