Thank you so much for this video. I was able to correct an ongoing toilet issue . Without having to pay an expensive plumber, I am pregnant. I am a mother who works full-time. My husband is always gone due to military. Thank you for helping me save that money. God bless

You saved me $200. My plumber said that I need to change shut off valve and filling valve. You’re a lifesaver

The hole under the flap also gets accumulation of water lime residue. If you scrub it and the flapper sits level, it will stop the running toilet.

Thank you so much, I'm a 66 year old Canadian woman who used to be a superintendent with 2nd hubby 30 odd years ago when everyone used the old fashioned ballcock toilets, I had a guess on how to fix this newer one but was being careful because I'm now a tenant in an apartment building, shortly after I began listening to your video I realized my guess was 100% right.

I went out and bought some parts for our toilet that was running. Then I saw your video. I tried that adjustment on my toilet and it worked. I will be taking those parts back, unopened. Thanks!!

This fixed my toilet a few days ago! Thank
you! I got tired of dealing with maitenance people at my apartment who didn't know how to fix it. For me, it was lowering the thing on the left by turning that screw thing. Thank you!

Thanks so much! We just had a new well pump installed and the new water pressure must have been overfilling the tank. So, your first suggested adjustment to lower the water level took care of the problem completely! Very grateful for your help and just subscribed.

Thank you so much! I can't believe how easy that fix was. No parts or tools required. I'm glad I found your video because the first video I watched had me taking the toilet apart, so I was happy that I clicked on the next one which was yours and learned all I really needed to do was turn the knob to lower the water line and my problem was solved. Keep being awesome!

Thank you! I appreciate your video! Thanks for posting it. The fill valve instructions here fixed my running water issue. I had to use a screwdriver to turn the screw. Adjusted it until the water was 3/4" below the top of the hollow tube. I had to flush it to see the water level change.

❤ I'm so thrilled this worked.

Thank you for the video! Just fixed mine right now! Turning the valve anticlockwise helped set the level so no more over running.

Great video, Jensen. The refilling we get on one of our toilets happens about every 20" or so, and lasts for about 10 seconds. Now I know why! The flapper needs replacement. Thanks so much!

Thank you for helping me understand how to adjust the water level. I was living with a running toilet for about a month. I am not that handy and this tutorial was a game changer for me. Thanks Again

its currently 3am and I'm watching because my toilet wouldnt stop running. I know enough that I can lift the float cup and it will stop. I tried that, it didnt work. in fact the float cup was already all the way up! I turned off the water for now so I could read up on fixing this whether it is a full fix or temporary. The float and fill valve had been replaced about 4 years ago, which good old Google says 4-5 years is pretty average. I had attempted to fix it then but lacked the proper tools and as luck would have it, something else, more advanced needed attention so we asked the plumber to do both things. I am tempted to ask a professional anyway but the costs are out of reach right now. I am confident I can fix this myself now that I have the tools and plenty of youtube tutorials to assist so long as the problem is the float cup. I am not sure if mine is adjustable but that is something I will experiment with in the daylight hours. Thank you for your video.

Thank you! My was kind of the second reason. The label you read that's inside the tank that talks about the warranty came off. And when I turned the water off and lifted up the flap how you explained. I was able to see the label got sucked down. Thank you for simply explaining that. And I also adjusted with water level it was right at the brim👍👍👍👍😁😁😁

Thank you so much for making the video, I couldn’t figure out exactly what was wrong with my commode or why it kept running. I didn’t know that you could adjust that handle.
