The toilet keeps filling up intermittently
sometimes you'll hear the toilet making noise, and the toilet flushes on its own, and sometimes it seems the toilet keeps flushing randomly, it's all because you are leaking water out the toilet flapper and into the toilet bowl. This then means the toilet keeps flushing by itself, and until you fix this by installing a new toilet flapper, you'll suffer while your toilet keeps flushing continuously.

This constant toilet flush cycle means your toilet keeps filling the tank and then produces that running toilet sound as the toilet keeps filling, leading to a partial toilet flush. We must solve this, and this video shows you how to fix a runny toilet, so you won't have to endure the aggravation as your toilet keeps flushing randomly throughout the day.

Now you can help fix other people's toilets with your new knowledge on repairing toilets where the toilet keeps filling up intermittently.

Wow, lm so sick of hiring rip off Companies. How could this guy that came to my house for $240.00 not know the flapper was too small, unless it's because l live in a mobile home park & lm 66.5 now so lmk a prime candidate for being taken advantage of? Is it the mobile home toilet? No, the flapper is too small. It's also ghost flushing & has been for quite some time. They NEVER STOPPED THE INSIDE OF THE BOWL FROM LEAKING. I'm so frustrated as l sit here with the toilet tank last d on the ground actually watching the water go up & down by itself. Thank u for your honesty & l will be watching other videos of yours as soon as l check out a mobile home toilet/ any differences? 😮 Wow! Thanks again to you folks❤.

Thanks Jeff, Five years ago I changed the whole inside, taking everything apart, putting in a new system. I had to buy a huge flat wrench. Home depot said, it was what I needed to disconnect the bottom part. Now, I have to replace the flapper. Thanks for schooling me!

Thank you so much Jeff I actually have to do this in my upstairs bathroom toilet because sometimes the flapper doesn't go back where it was and it leaves the water running and it is pretty annoying. You are awesome and I'm following in your footsteps as I'm ripping my suspended ceiling out and returning it back to the height it was and installing drywall. I also know how to install outlets and lots about electricity I'm trying to do exactly what you do. :)

Just discovered this problem this morning. Our flapper looked like it was permanent. But, after watching this, it can't be. Taking another look!

Thanks a million for your video and your calculations cuz I figured exactly like you did and I noticed you did the same thing I did to my toilet a week a go after I noticed it runs water every 15 minutes after that I decide to install the whole kit for my bother’s toilet and simply I upgraded that toilet and now it's very quite plus I had feeling that I have leake somewhere in my house after two high bills for two months then I had that feeling to investigate that.

My dad used to mess with the chain a lot. I think he thought the chain was too loose. I wish I'd just looked this up when I was in highschool...im glad your video was able to help me solve this!

Hi Jeff, glad I stumbled on this helpful video. Do you happen to have a video on how to fix a leak that’s coming from the water shutoff valve that connects to a toilet?
